Those wiley Russians have apparently supplied or loaned s300s to Assad!  Why was this just slipped in the body of a Russian article when it should make headlines? This means Assad will be the one to order the shootdown of US warplanes bombing government forces.  To clarify, Syria has long possessed s200 and Pantsir air defence, good equipment but probably insufficient to defend against b2, f22, f35 or ballistic missile.
