Thanks, I'll see how it goes.

The leaves on my two smallest Sal.div plants have started to go a bit yellow and pale. Does anyone know what this is?
I don't think it is the weather, as my two big plants are still very healthy looking, despite the cold.

I don't know about dancing, but if you have already ingested some small bits of paper it is an amazing feeling.

But does it really work? I've seen alot of things in supplements that are 'precursors' to stuff, eg wild yam capsules as a 'precursor' to DHEA (I have read that the chemicals in wild yam cannot be converted to hormones by the body, it takes an industrial process.) But I could be wrong. Most likely.

I found what I'm pretty sure is a native salvia growing in the Barrington Tops area, at the top of a waterfall (cool huh?). It has small light purple flowers, slightly furry leaves, and the smaller leaves are quite fleshy. It almost fits one of the native salvias listed in 'Plants of the Sydney Region' by Beadle et al, except the flowers are too small. Does any one know what it is and if it useful for anything?

I'm working on a 5x at the moment.
How would it combine with salvia sp. I wonder?

A friend of a friend ;-) once made home brew to which he added home made opium. Apparently it tasted vile but had a kick like a mule.

Well even though my plant aint so big it is very active, Almost too much at times.

Fair enough.
I saw it listed in the Erowid database, so I thought that it may have reached the U.S. But there were no experience reports on it, so maybe not. In any case I'll try to look into it further.

Does anyone know where I could get an "Intoxicating Mint" (Lagochilus inebriens) plant?

C'tuluh eh? That's pretty damn heavy/intense.
As for test subjests, the best way is to use as big a test group as possible, made up of a random selection of population, which would include persons very sensitve to Sally Dee and person very immune to it and a range inbetween.

I have a khat plant I bought off SAB a coupe of years ago. It's doing ok I guess, but has not grown a great deal for that length of time. I have it in a 20 inch planter at the moment. I don't over water it. I'ts well drained, gets a modest amount of feeding and full sun. Am I doing something wrong?

I have just been reading about some of the interesting things found in Chinese Star Jasmine, and I was wondering how one would go about refining/preparing something from this plant, and then how to take it? Not that I would ever do anything as naughty as that ;-)

Fair enough then. I thought my greenhouse was shaded enough, but obviously not.

Some of the leaves on my Salvia are curling or scrunching up ever so slightly. What does this mean? I have the plant in a greenhouse and make sure it has enough water and that the humidity stays high. Is it lack of drainage? Too much water? Too hot? I was only recently given this plant, so I don't know if this is normal or not.

Two bottles?? My house-mate drank one and he was fucked for some days. He was nauseous at first as the mixture he drank was sorbitol based, the oil did not agree with him. After that settled down though he was tripping reallly hard. He just sat and stared off into space, speaking only twice, once to send me to woolworths for red gatorade (he was very specific) and one to tell us that he was wondering around inside his mind and it was a pretty fucked up place.

Possibly not active eh? Maybe my parent's plant was a freak. But I was smoking a number of things at that stage in my life that had effects on me so who knows how reliable my research at that time was. And just for the record, I do not smoke anything anymore, I value what is left of my lungs.

So that is where the US government got the idea of giving Dex and (suposedly) PCP to their troops in Vietnam from. Not that it did them, or anyone for that matter, any good.

Everything is an illusion, so really there is nothing to be paranoind about. But a belief like that is fucking hard to hold onto, so sometimes it's better to be paranoid of things just in case they are not imaginary.

Well, i'm so fucking sorry for my lurking. I guess I did not feel I had alot to add, due to my relative inexperience.
Still, i'm trying to get into it, with a bit of help from generous people like Tripitaka.
As for things I've eaten, I once foolishly tried datura when I was a teen, before I even knew how dangerous it could be. I had read a book about Shamans so I just went out, found a Datura, and ate some. I actually thought it was enjoyable. My friend on the other hand, had a bad trip, and kept on babbling about how he could only see in black and white.
Umm that's about it.

Does anyone know anything about Pineapple Sage? Is it even a Salvia? Some years back when I was living at home I found that sa well as being a tasty addition to my tea, it had a pronounced relaxing effect. The dried leaf, when smoked, produced a brief stoned effect. Maybe it was just wishful thinking ( I haven't tried it again for years, but I do have a plant now, albeit a small one).

$10 eh? Oh ewll. I'll figure something out.
Ordering Absinthe

Yeh you can make it yourself. But the process is a bit more involved that just chuking some wormwood and other assorted herbs in alcohol. I've tried it and it tastes like shit and does not work really. Apparently after soaking the herbs in the alcohol,. the whole lot is redistilled. This gets rid of most of the tannin and nasty tasting stuff, and keeps the aromatic oils. It also helps with the pretty green colour. As for European absinthe, it does the job. A friend bought back a bottle from France. I can personally vouch that only a small amount is required to get you really trashed.
