  1. I have a plant you could have.

Not interested in tricho cuttings, have to many.

Otherwise $20 would cover the express postage cost.

    Let me know.

  2. Peyote comes to mind, happy in a small pot, low maintenance and does not need a ton of sunlight. Also cute and most people would just ignore it as innocuous cactus thing.

Sun opener, is a tough as nails plant, impossible to kill might be an option if near a window.

I have seen San Pedro indoors in a coffee shop, it was however edulated, but it was a very dark space.

Sally, 🤣 in the bathroom maybe.

White Sage - that would survive as an indoor.

    Kanna is worth trying.

  3. I woke up this morning to the first bloom and by this afternoon, all five blooms where opening up.

I have no other flowering trichos, so it looks like I missed the boat, on pollinating them.

  4. Does anyone have Tricho Pollen that I could use to pollinate one of my T. Bridgesii or know where I can get some?

My price Bridgesii is coming into bloom with several flowers and I would love to get seeds from it?

Happy to trade seeds back if we can get some fruit to form.

  5. I have a theory around psychedelics and tinnitus.

Interesting I quick search turned up a few planned or theoretical research on possible benefits of psychedelics and tinnitus.

I have tinnitus, which for those who do not know is a clicking, ringing or zapping sound. You might develop tinnitus symptoms from being exposed to loud noise or medication.

The basic explanation for tinnitus is hearing loss. The fine hair in the cochlear are damaged and no longer convert vibration from sound into neural signal. In a response to this drop in input coming into the brain, some brains respond by produce these phantom tinnitus sounds. The issue is that tinnitus can become debilitating, destroying sleep and it is linked to cognitive decline, and dementia.

In essence tinnitus is a problem not with the hearing per say but with the brain, mall-adaptive response, that some people  with hearing loss experience but not all. Therefor treatment should focus on the brain rather the ear, which is where most tinnitus treatments focus their efforts.

Knowing this it made me notice that during a psychedelic experience, that my tinnitus, faded in intensity, also the perception of the sound within my brain seems to change location. Also post dosing there has been a significant improvement in my tinnitus symptoms.

I would like to propose a spit balling theory, that the increase in neural connections between different regions of the brain during psychedelics, compensates for the lack of signal from the cochlear thereby reducing the perception of tinnitus.

    Thoughts opinions?

Has anyone else noticed improvements in their tinnitus due to psychedelics?

  6. 😂 Bump 😍 Bump 😳 Bump 😭 Bump 😜

I still have about a dozen trichos left, enough for at least 1 -2 good sizes boxes, I really need to clear them to make space.

Would love to trade for Neem seeds/seedling, Mexian Dream Herb, and Vilca/Yope, a cold tolerant Brugmansia cuttings, or anything exotic.

  7. I traded for two craft LW. I am however unsure how to water, nutrition and care of crafted LW.

    The root stock are Tricho.

The question is do I feed it like its a tricho, or do I feed it like a LW.

I can feed my tricho tons of water and fertilizer and it will go from strength to strength.

My un-grafted peyote, I care for by neglect. No fertilizers, No water for moths unless it is above 25ºc.

    What way do I go?

  8. Thank you for sharing.

The ontological shift (concerning the fundamental nature of reality and being) post psychedelic experience is personal difficulty for myself. I have come to struggle to accept the absurdity of society, the social constructs, that we are forced to accept without question.

I struggled to deal with those individuals, groups and organizations who have drunk the Cool Aid. Those unable to see that it is all we are told that matters in the world is lie, that the system itself is both abusive, violent and ultimately destructive. And just because you play the game well doesn't change the fact that you are still a victim of society, culture & capitalism.

All I want to lough and then cry. Trying to find a way forward.

Nothing will come this. They have not even finished stage 1 trials. Not to mention stage 2 nor stage 3, nor FDA approval nor marketing. They will raise a few billions, then pocket the cash. As people and society continues to fall apart.

wouldn't it be a prudent strategy to ameliorate (if not remedy) the causes of social anxiety in the first place?

The system and those in power, have a singular and terminal intent to ensure their own supremacy. Increasing social anxiety is but one more lever they have to stratify society to their advantage. This is the way of the world, always has been always will be.

  10. Put together another care package this time just over 13kg of cactus.

I included some seedlings of J7 OP, and one larger seedling of NZ Timewarp OP that I grew from seed. It’s a pachanoi but it’s considered one of the better varieties they have in NZ, so it might be interest -  also Timewarp is not common in Australia.

Preparing another package to send next week. Still looking for trades or giving away - still have enough for 4 more box loads.

Would love to find, Neem, Mexian Dream Herb, and Vilca/Yope, a cold tolerant BrugmansiA, or anything exotic.

  11. Fascinating@wachumacallit - making it from cactus

But how do you dry a whole cactus?

Also reading the article, it says "made from any of several species of cactus such as Eulychnia acida and Echinopsis pachanoi" and then its says "The spines are removed, then driven into the cactus like nails." - Anyone who knows anything knows that driving pachanoi spines into a pachanoi just would never happen.

A quick search on making a rainstick from a cactus brings up making them from Quisco or capado cactus

I could see making it from a Bridgesii - I have a 50mm hand auger that would be used to drill out the scion.

  12. I have a bridgesii with very long spines, it was part of a collection given to me, I just get the feeling that it is something special.

It has this very long spine in the middle of the areola, the areola is white fuzzy and protruding.

Does it remind anyone of anything in particular.

  13. @Wood Chuck box has been packed - Fitted most of what I had planed to include, minus one, ran out of space. Threw in some kanna in a zip lock bag hopefully it makes it before rotting. Will be in the post today.

Have to fill another order by this week. Best to post on Mondays.

Still have enough for 4 plus boxes worth, or if you come for a visit you can have a large ute load.

Appreciate those who are willing to swap for ANYTHING interesting.

Would love to find Khat, Neem, Mexian Dream Herb, and Vilca/Yope.

  15. I would go with Hulk x Trojan Llama.

Found the two of these in tons of hybrids. However can anyone tell me anything about Trichocereus scopulicola (Hulk) or Trojan Llama find it hard to dig much pertinent information on specific cultivars.
