If you aren't likely to use all those flowers, why not bag them up and sell some for some extra cash? The foliage can be harsh to smoke and I have only now started to get used to it. You apparently get better effects from smoking the flowers...selling or smoking the flowers yourself might be the go.

I don't know about you, but this makes me feel very uneasy. I don't like it one bit. http://news.ninemsn.com.au/technology/7355...with-microchips All Australians could be implanted with microchips for tracking and identification within the next two or three generations, a prominent academic says. Michael G Michael from the University of Wollongong's School of Information Systems and Technology, has coined the term "uberveillance" to describe the emerging trend of all-encompassing surveillance. "Uberveillance is not on the outside looking down, but on the inside looking out through a microchip that is embedded in our bodies," Dr Michael told ninemsn. Microchips are commonly implanted into animals to reveal identification details when scanned and similar devices have been used with Alzheimers patients. US company VeriChip is already using implantable microchips, which store a 16-digit unique identification number, on humans for medical purposes. "Our focus is on high-risk patients, and our product's ability to identify them and their medical records in an emergency," spokesperson Allison Tomek said. "We do not know when or if someone will develop an implantable microchip with GPS technology, but it is not an application we are pursuing." Another form of uberveillance is the use of bracelets worn by dangerous prisoners which use global positioning systems to pinpoint their movements. But Dr Michael said the technology behind uberveillance would eventually lead to a black box small enough to fit on a tiny microchip and implanted in our bodies. This could also allow someone to be located in an emergency or for the identification of corpses after a large scale disaster or terrorist attack. "This black box will then be a witness to our actual movements, words — perhaps even our thoughts —-and play a similar role to the black box placed in an aircraft," he said. He also predicted that microchip implants and their infrastructure could eliminate the need for e-passports, e-tags, and secure ID cards. "Microchipping I think will eventually become compulsory in the context of identification within the frame of national security," he said. Although uberveillance was only in its early phases, Dr Michael's wife, Katina Michael — a senior lecturer from UOW's School of Information Systems and Technology — said the ability to track and identify any individual was already possible. "Anyone with a mobile phone can be tracked to 15m now," she said, pointing out that most mobile phone handsets now contained GPS receivers and radio frequency identification (RFID) readers. "The worst scenario is the absolute loss of human rights," she said. Wisconsin, North Dakota and four other states in the US have already outlawed the use of enforced microchipping. "Australia hasn't got specific regulations addressing these applications," she said. "We need to address the potential for misuse by amending privacy laws to ensure personal data protection." Uberveillance has been nominated for Macquarie Dictionary's Word of the Year 2008.

It was fun while it lasted...it was also too expensive.

Spice Gold was great fun while it lasted but I don't think I could buy it again because the cat is out of the bag as to why it works so well. It has been proven there is an illegal ingredient where previously I (and many others) were buying and enjoying in good faith thinking Spice was just a few herbs thrown together that somehow synergised. Even though the Oz supplier I used to purchase from may stock it again I won't be going back. I managed to get some of that Yucutan Fire to try and found it to be potent working so well that I found it unenjoyable. One thing that was a bit suss was there seemed to be a light brown chalky substance in there..hmmm. The old Spice Gold was pretty good but who knows what chemicals they might add next. I'm glad they didn't slip anything more sinister in under the radar.

Surely the answer is to leave. It's a warzone...I don't know anybody who would want to or could happily live under those conditions. Personally, I'd get the hell out of there ASAP.

Why do Arabs and Jews refuse to face up to the fact that life is too short to die over a stupid piece of real estate?

Good job on the water saving there...

As an ex Melbournian I thought of growing HBWR while I was there...I was told the climate is unsuitable and it would not work...so I didn't bother. Things do grow well up here. If only I wasn't renting...I'd have a field day. I am pretty much restricted to growing in pots for the time being.

Hey that's cool that a Redlight Runners band member posts here. I believe I have one of your track on my ipod (Hero to no-one). It's on my walking playlist. The JJJ Unearthed site really is fantastic...plenty of talent as well as legal free downloads for all. I'm having a blast checking all these great bands out. -

Good luck in beating this. Though I don't have practical advice on herbal/natural remedies that may help to offer. I can say you have my prayers and moral support. What does your GP advise in the way of weaning off painkillers out of interest? I am currently on painkillers myself but I don't want to be...I am keen to get off prescription meds ASAP. It's pretty bad when the medication to take for the purpose of healing ends up making you sicker. Once again, good luck. I look forward to you fully overcoming the hurdle that you face. All the best.

I think ideally governments could fight hard drug use by endeavoring to heal and not punish the individual drug addict. The first step should be prevention of addiction through education. This is far more preferable than the need to cure people. If we arm kids with knowledge telling them exactly how it is they are far more likely to make intelligent life choices for themselves. They may be offered a drug like GHB but they will know not to go there. Rehabilitation will be averted and lives/futures will be saved. Secondly the government should make every effort to keep addicts and drug dealers separate. Hospitals/rehab centers should take addicts in without judgement or fear of prosecution. To be an addict is punishment in itself...nothing more is required from these people from society. Our focus should be to heal them. They may be rehabilitated in a safe environment. The dealers and manufacturers are the ones that should be punished. Make the penalties for trafficking and selling drugs tougher. Hit the dealer, rescue the addict and heal them.

Why do people do it to themselves? This whole scenario is so avoidable. People that want to get wasted should stick to alcohol...as dangerous as the excess consumption of booze can be, I consider it much safer than placing one's life in the hands of street criminals cooking up drugs in a dirty lab somewhere cutting it with who knows what. GHB is dangerous...what the hell are these kids thinking?

HBWR seedling ready to climb.. arghh need advice!
PhantomTurkey replied to blip's topic in Ethnobotany
Hard to tell by the pic but I'm under the impression you've got them in pots. Put them in the ground if you can they like plenty of root space. I grew them in pots due to my renting situations and this definitely stunted them. In two years + I did not see any seed pods or flowers. Still a nice looking vine to have in the garden though. -

Not sure if it's available but seeing the high you are looking for is nicotine based I've thought of an alternative. 1. Place 2 packets of lit cigarettes into glasses burn side up. 2. Put in an empty cupboard. 3. Climb into cupboard. 4.Close door and inhale the vapors. Hope this helps.
