Not sure if breaking rules, but guess I`ll find out and maybe it`s just happened to me. About 20 years ago I had a severe stroke, upon returning home I found a 750g jar of honey with about 50 gold tops in it, they use to grow in a backyard of where I was living at the time and had been in the cupboard for about 3 years. Over a day I ate all the honey, not the mushrooms, expecting to trip. The trip never happened and was a bit disappointed, but realized later that the depression I had, left me, this is not a recipe, but how things worked for me. Upon reading the subject, mind altering drugs, without a trip, I thought I`d throw this in as a reply.

I tend to like T.Scopulicola fruit, if its right. When flowers have died, the ones I can reach, I cut them off, leaving the fruit on the plant till it gets about the size of a golf ball and some start to spilt open, then know they are mature. The seed is black, not brown when mature and prefer the pulp to be juicy not dry, which I have struck a few of lately, maybe because of the amount of water the plant gets or maturity. Have not harvested all of them this year and they have split open on the plant and like me the birds, bees and ants like them.

Thankyou, I have had them that height before for different reasons. Once got some soil from a gardener that worked for a fisherman and they started coming up in the soil, so maybe they originally come from Tasmania

Sprouts with flower heads, 5mm in height, have not seen before and makes me wonder about growing conditions.

This is the first time in many years, I have had a grafted LW on tricho base outside in the weather for about a year. No rot, but 4 of the 12 pups split (just wanted to see what would happen). Usually I am modest with watering and fertilizer and it is under cover, a non grafted LW that is under cover (veranda), I very rarely water and don`t think I have ever fertilized.

Looks and sounds very similar to the one I have, labeled Bridgesii crazy spine, seems faster growing than other bridgesii

European wasps seem to go dormant over the colder months, I find them under rags, wood, tarps, pots, etc, they could probably still sting you, but do not wish to find out. A couple of years ago, I made up a mixture of borax and orange juice, as there was a nest near by, but I do not know where it is. For a year there were not any about and thought it had worked, but their back. I noticed them eating the pulp of Trichocereus fruit and am thinking of making up a mixture with the pulp and borax.

Good purchase, can not give much advice as I am thinking of building one myself, to regulate weather conditions. Have picked a place that is away from trees, as branches do fall and where it can get full sun, have heard of people putting shade cloth over them to reduce sun exposure. Would put it on a raised garden bed, to stop the floor getting wet, not sure about the floor base. At the moment am thinking of pine pole frame, that I wouldn`t have to worry about it blowing away, ploy carbon sheets or rolls of greenhouse plastic? I to am after any information about greenhouses that may help with decision making.

Not pach or bridge, planted 8 T.Scopulicola 4 rib, 150mm high in the ground, about 5 years ago. Out the 8 I have 2 left that are 4 rib and are about meter high.

Internet information is handy but..... According to the internet 11 people had died from the medication I was on. I asked this question to a doctor, who was a guest speaker at a function, his answer was don`t believe everything you read on the internet, sad but true.

Do younger ones tend to gain an extra rib as they get older, say 5 or 6 years old.
