Just went inland sunny coast, lots of cows but none out of view of houses. Walked along a paddock in a small town and there were hundreds of mushrooms and a lot looked (from a distance) like what I was looking for. Unfortunately there were many people watching, I couldn't find anywhere that there weren't people around. I did stay within about 30 mins of the coast though.

I tried ordering some online but nothing came. If anyone wants cash (don't really have anything to trade) for some please let me know, I just got a new microscope.

Hi guys, I'm pretty new here, love the positive vibes! Just got a couple of questions I haven't been able to find the answer for yet so hope someone can shed some light. I've got a couple of bridgesii that I chopped around 4 months ago (could be a bit longer), and I'm wanting to re-pot them as I feel a bit mean leaving them in such little ones. I've read that they shouldn't be repotted or fertilised during winter though I'm in qld on the sunshine coast where the winters aren't at all harsh. Will these cacti still go dormant here? Could be a silly question but these are the first I've had and I don't want to kill them or anything. Also I'll attach some photos, any suggestions are appreciated. What size pot should I go to next? Thanks!

Oh cool thanks for the info Levi. Did you notice a big increase in growth when they were in the ground?

Thanks a lot for the replies everyone, I'm gonna go get some wide pots, soil, sand etc tomorrow and hopefully these guys will start to fatten up! Oh and crop, I'd love to get them in the ground but I'm renting and would hate to leave them behind.

Thanks for the tips rc, I'll have to go for a look this weekend. I do a bit of rock climbing in brooyar near gympie and there are tons of cows out there, could be worth a look too.

I've been looking the past few days. I live on the beach (sunny coast) and was just looking through the bush behind the dunes. Probably not a great place to look but I've never picked any before. I found some that looked kinda promising but there was no blue bruising so just chucked em. I've got Paul stamets book, don't really wanna carry it round with me though haha. Thinking of just buying some woodchips/cowshit spreading it out under a sprinkler for a few days, you guys reckon I'd have any luck?
