Sweetgum: An ancient source of beneficial compounds with modern benefits
Average Joe posted a topic in Ethnobotany
Link to article: https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC4441155/ Came across a 35-40 foot tree today and did some research this evening. Has anyone got any experience with using Sweetgum for any of it's applications? In case there's any interest i can provide plenty of seed, bark or sap. -

I like to give them a nice rich soil. I would assume this delays flowering in some cases but promotes a more rapid/consistent growth??? would love to hear if anyone has a similar philosophy

Thanks for your comment, that's the sort of thing i worry about when buying in capsule form. I just want the damn mushroom... I might look into growing my own. What's your experience with growing them in regards to difficulty?

One of my friends needed to be repotted. She had definitely outgrown the pot, roots spreading through the bottom and all. Nothing a few taps with the hammer couldn't solve.

Thanks guys, i did find a few blends with both varieties of mushroom. I will go with Stamets and drop a report in a month if anyone would be interested.

@etherealdrifter I'm a big fan of Rogan and his transformation also. I like that he brings guys on the show like McKenna & Stamets and really lets them speak and get their messages out there. I can't really think of anyone comparable that really promotes the responsible use of psychs and the "positives" to a mass audience like he can.

Thanks WC, that is very generous. I'd like to thank you, and most importantly our unstable political system for the Loph

Harvested a patch today, about a dozen 30cm cuts + a couple of larger tips for potting up.
