Thanx alkatrope! We've fired up the oven to the lowest setting (according to a method from the Shroomery) and then we'll dry them for 1 hour. We're then gonna use a mouli to turn them to powder, then on the night we're gonna boil water, add the powder and let simmer for 45 mins. Then drink when cool enough (well my friend is doing it on his birthday and I'm staying straight and conducting a bit of a ritual.) Any problems with this method? Oh, and the guy who picked them has just given us the caps - is that OK? Cos the "recipe" said something about a 3:1 cap-stem ratio.

Hey guys, Sorry, I couldn't be bothered going through the whole thread, so if this question has been answered already please forgive me. I have a stack of A.M. - picked about a week ago. Have done research on preparation etc. but I only want to use them next week. So they've just been sitting around on an oven rack type thing... Anyway, my question is: will they be rotten by the time I wanna use them? If so, is there something I can do NOW to save them??? Cheers, RT

Mmhmm, it's an interesting topic, and part of the reason I watch QAF (it was compulsory while I was living with the gay guy)... I squirm a bit at the sex scenes but actually the kissing scenes make me more uncomfortable. If it were two women I'd be cool with it (why do the lesbians in QAF have to be so uptight?!) But yeah, it just doesn't look "right" and I sit and wonder why. So I guess I'm a bit homophobic, but definitely not in an aggressive way.

I always wondered if you were gay, Torsten. I like QAF but I do find the sex scenes a bit in-your-face. I lived with a gay guy up until recently and he was very out-there about his gayness, he also admitted to being a "heterophobe" and got uncomfortable watching even really tame hetero stuff. One night I had my bf over (who he hated, but for good reason) and his 14yo son and my housemate had his bf over and they were both pissed and were REALLY putting on a show along the lines of, "we're queer, get used to it" and it was just over-the-top and embarrassing. He'd met a couple of guys off gaydar.com.au... I checked out the site and there were heaps of guys' profiles with pictures of their dicks, which I thought was a bit off. We went out a couple of times to gay clubs and I got kicked out both times for being "too drunk"... Funnily enough, so did a lot of other women. I'm mostly hetero but I've been with a few girls, and the second time I got kicked out I was actually fooling around with a girl, so it wasn't my straightness that got me booted. And it definitely wasn't my drunkness. I went to a Gay Pride march too, which was okay. But yeah, I have to say that my experience with gay guys wasn't all that pleasant and I've become a bit of a homophobe, when once upon a time I was quite the Fag Hag. I dunno, my Uncle is gay and he's been with his partner for over 30 years and they are lovely guys. So maybe it's just a case of one bad apple spoiling the crop (or whatever that saying is!) :ph34r:

I lived in the country for 3yrs and I gotta say I prefer the city (although I'm about 1hr from Melbourne CBD). I found the country really inconvenient eg. we'd have to drive half an hour to get to the supermarket and I always felt like an outsider in the small town we lived in. I hated the fact that I'd have to make small-talk with the people who owned the little general store when I just wanted to be anonymous. I hated that I couldn't have pizza delivered. In the end I just found it really depressing and boring.

I left him 2 years ago.

In a couple of weeks I'm moving into a 3-4br house with my absolutely fabulous gay friend. We're gonna be advertising a room pretty dirt cheap, looking for someone "alternative". Ultimately I'd have Chemical Shaman but he might fall hopelessly in love with my friend and I will be heartbroken. Anyhoo, anyone interested gimme a message.
