General potting mix from Bunnings will do, make sure when watering you let the top surface dry out completely before misting again, as mentioned above this will stop the damping-off. They do love higher soil temps to get motivated as well. I've just had a load of seedlings appear from tipping out my dehydrator (which had random scorpion and 7-pot seed) over some old plant pots full of depleted potting mix, they're pretty hardy already.

I propagated a lot of chilli seeds around July but fortunately have an area in the house which is fairly insulated from temperature fluctuations and remains a 25 degrees. Most of what I planted were chills with a germination temperature of 30c so I thought I was fairly lucky with these results. Seedlings indoors seem to cope very well will a ~20W CFL, trapping what minimal heat the light produces would avoid a seed matt and give extra light for vigour.

Ive got a few seeds from this season. Taken from the most pungent pods from the most vigorous plants. Can also supply some other hot variety seeds as a bonus. Interested in swapping for a couple of seeds of the PM only variety....let me know what you have!

Get a prescription for Pramin (any doc will supply for nausea) punch those prior to the seeds. Works a charm.
