Acacia Superpack Gift / Seed Dispersal Project
communacacian replied to communacacian's topic in Seed & Plant Swaps
Thanks everyone who contributed, everyone's a winner here beautiful plants! DB those guys are at a pretty sensitive stage i wouldn't be introducing anything to them until they are more developed. If they start springing out of the soil you could build the soil up a bit with the same stuff you used or prop or granitic sand can do the trick. Once they are more established with a good set of bipinnates you can add some phleb soil or dissolve some in water and water the seedling with it!- 24 replies

Hi all! I'm new to the Corroboree, very pleased to be a part of this great community and I would like to introduce myself with a little give away! One pack of 10 seeds for each of these prominent species of interest is up for grabs. To make it a bit fun, the botanic and a common name must be identified for that species in the image. eg. image J = Acacia Confusa , Formosa Acacia or Rainbow Tree The first person to guess a species correctly wins 10 seeds of that species. Appropriate Rhyzbia will be included with the two granite mountain loving species hint hint. Please only one pack per member who guesses correctly. Further hints may be included if some of the photos prove difficult to ID. Good Luck! Aus only. sorry no post to WA or TAZ

Thats it! A - Acacia Acuminata, Raspberry jam
-
D - Acacia Floribunda well done Bullit! A still up for grabs...
-
Okay, A and D seem to have gotten people stumped, so i'm upping the anti! Opening the comp back up for those who have already claimed some seeds. I will be giving away a package of seeds for the first to correctly ID either 'A' or 'D'. the package will include: A. Acuminata (Narrow) x 10 A. Burkittii x 10 A. Complata x 5 A. Courtii x 5 + Rhizobia A. Maidenii x 10 A. Mucronata x 10 A. Phlebophylla x 5 + Rhizobia A. Longissima x 10 A. Obtusifolia x 10 On top of what you have/will win. Remember one guess at a time. If you know both only guess at one. Botanical and Common name for the win! As mentioned previously, will not send to WA or TAZ
-
Good one Olive! B - Acacia Complanata - flat stemmed wattle A and D yet to be ID'd, Sally is right that its all in the phyllodes for 'A'
-
Hint time! 'A' is from WA and very closely related to another species already ID'd. 'B' 'D' is common on the east coast from Brisbane all the way downwards.
-
Very well played, Courtii seeds heading your way Sally!
