  1. Hola. Been busy so I have not have the time to check in this cool forum. I have 3 questions about the cactis in the pot. 1: the cuttes taquimbalensis have this black skin. What is this? 2: the other two big thornes trichos. Are these by any chance terschekkii or taquimbalensis? 3: the small ones..terschekkii? I would be most grateful if you could help me
  2. So..today i was at a nursery far out of the city and found 4 of this cacti. I think it's a terscheckii..but.. What do you think it could be?
  3. Hi guys/ladies. I bought this cactus today at a nursery i never been at. It was on sale also 50% discount. .the price. ..130skr= ~12-13 euros. And it is. .what it looks like a taquimbalensis...or not?

Some of my new and old ones.

Thanks man. Yes I have a bridgesii penis plant. The one next to it on the right side of the penis plant is supposed to be a bridgesii. It gets thorns bigger than 1-2cm. Cuzcoensis..i wish I had one. It was sold to me as a pachanoi from wermlanddessertplants aks kaktus Svante. I also should have two macrogonus baby's and one more bridgesii baby (1-2cm baby's) ahh..also a baby terscheckii. Lophophoras also..copiapoa cinera and copiapoa cinera var columna alba. Then I have a bunch of thorny small cacti dudes i wish them to be werderammanius, terscheckii or taquis....ehh..dreaming is creative
  5. Kattsand!? Kitty litter for the soil mix? Haha.i think I know the reason why using it. It preserves moist eh?! That's a cool and new education ingredient for me. Can you reveal your receipt for a good soilmix using kattsand? I think I will be googling for how to use the kitty litter in soil mix. And eldorado kitkat litter is cheap also. .This is a really good and interesting information. .gracias loco!
  6. Ahh..pasacana.Thanks for the info. . Its difficult to know what is what eh? Yes it still is cold here. And the former owner didn't have much interest in this cactus so he had not been so interested in giving it a better treatment. The soil it was in is old and not a good mix. Just plain soil. And it has been growing for years in a 10-15liters pot. But I will give it a better treatment for sure.
  7. Greetings. I had a very nice collection of various trichocereus and lophophoras some years ago. But one night when I was home at one of my friends I got robbed. A cacti robbery. The ones that I kept inside got saved (copiapoa). But the majority of my + 18 years old trichocereus and peyotes was stolen. But I have managed to get some cuttings of some of the vars I had. Since I had given two friends 2 or 3 cuttings from the mother plants that got stolen. So here is my new collection. Not so big yet and all are not trichocereus. Some of them I even don't know the label of because I have bought them at nurseries here in Sweden. And when I ask for a name of a certain variety of cactus I usually get the response" I don't know" or get suspicious looks..hmmm?. Well. .I have patience and I like cacti. So no matter what latin label they have I will take care of them and protect them from thiefs But still I would be most thankful if you could help me labelling them.
  8. Wow..hola peoples. Nice to be here. A philosophical thought. . the more I think I am sure about a var of cactus, the more confused I get. It seems to be quite difficult to try and label the various cacti i have since many of them are bought in nursery's that doesn't label the various cacti they sell. When I ask I usually get the response"i don't know" or I get suspicious looks. But I think this one is a terscheckii I bought this from a friend of a friend. .or?
  9. Ahh..stetsonia coryne aka trichocereus nope from nopeland . Yes now i see it after googling for more information. Thanks for the info gente. Still it is a handsome cactus. .s la sideshow bob style.
  10. Greetings. This forum is really good. Very educational. But I am very unsure about the var I have and was hoping you folks could help me. I think it is a chilensis but I am not sure. What do you think?
  11. Hi to you all. I have been studying in this forum to try to identify my cacti. I believe that I own a taquimbalensis after googling and studying in here. But I am unsure so I would like to have a second opinion from you folks with more knowledge.
