Its cold enough here now at least at that altitude and we've had a really decent rain or two. Hence they're back. Not down on the coast yet... just in the ranges, in euc forest too not pine.
I woke this morning at 4:30 thinkin i got abso nuthin on today..thats it,i must go back
for another hunt! It had been about a week and i looking in a complete diff area to last
week, deeeeep ferny gullies and grass with a little pine mixed in. I wish you guys knew how
stoked i am as this is my first susscesful mission after years, i tells ya . got some great Myc samples
which was all i really wanted in the first place, box is hopefully colonising as we speak.
The amount of mushrooms (of all varieties) was astonishing..literally like weeds on the ground!
They were not the biggest of specimens but not tiny either..all found growing solitary and
ALWAYS alongside gallerinas!! Teyre back but always be safe guys.

Sorry to be so vague on locations...
1000mtrs - great dividing range. I'm sure oberon etc would be a fungal wonderland atm.
I haven't been up yet myself but the report was "they are everywhere" - I'm very excited, just have to get these next two bloody assignments done for uni by Thursday and I'm going camping
peace
spent eight hours searching hamdon @ obes. Fungal wonderland, even sponges, the edibles are being picked(milk caps etc)
after easily spending 7+ years knowing the area very well enduro bike riding..@ hunting, still yet to find my patch.
-
L&L & Birdman, still warm for subs, but as husk said, are the saffron milk caps popping? (the ugly orange edibles)
Hey Unders! Yes bag loads, know so coz i had a half hour coversation
in the middle of now where in a pine forest with a 70 year old russien
couple..sounds weird but it was the nicest thing. Met another bloke and
his mum from slovenia or something collecting the same.Big ones to but
they tended to be older and more rotten so it seems they have prob fruited
twice so far. Grab your green coles bags and get up there its at its prettiest
in Autumn.

Hello to all, nice to read you.
I have a favour to ask the community?
After trolling and lurking without alota
luck and wanted to possibly ask any members
if they have good habitat shots of where a
find has been located? not after photos of the suby
but like from 5-10 metres away?
this would really be appreciated guys, thanx 4 reading.

Hey guys! Sorry tp get a little off topic ,but i have a cuple of young buttons that have formed 2 tap roots to the one plant.
They also like to tend to grow more vertically as opposed to the trad horizontal growth patt. "Will the be double headers"

Yeah ive recived a letter too..'was trying to "get in" a funky aquraium
type incubator + spores from the Nederlands. I had a few e mails with the vendor who
assured me that it would be as discreet as poss, that he's sent here before (failed to ask if successful),
No signage or ads etc.......got the friendly customs letter and an awesome poster of Stropharia Cub.
that the the vendor put in the box..
Possibly trich from bunnings.

so bunnings are putting disclaimers on their Trichos? thats kinda mildly worrying
I reckon. Thats like an advertisement...wonder if hamiltons knows...
