What did you do in your sacred garden today?

These scions came from a weird little crest. I removed this bit as it was starting to grow into the ground, rooted it and then grafted it on. Hopefully goes funky again

After years of growing and topping chilli plants, decided I'd give it a whirl on some Datura seedlings. Always had bigger yields, around 2x more pods over the course of a season. 3 topped, 3 not. Updates soon Put this frosty pink in the ground. Threw some slow release fert in the hole and gave it a good watering. Going to lay down some weed mat too Cut these Scop x Super Pedro pups off. I've made 195 tip cuts of pereskiopsis in the last 2 weeks. Season goal is 700 pieces. Not usable size, just tips with roots to grow for the season after. Pricked out some obtusifolia sprouts. Got some more Gastrolobium spp sprouting now too Cut 12 more bits of pach for grafting stock. -
Looks like it has terminated I'd probably ditch that soil in exchange for a mineral mix also. That's a lot of organics right there

Thanks for the link. Going to see how my product works without a delayed release first before I go wasting time on what does seem fiddly and slow

Went with what are probably the most common 5. Feel free to add more below and fill in dot points etc Hylocereus Pros: Vigorous growth Quick to propagate Cons: Rots easier than other stocks Cold-dormant Smaller grafting area Can deform scion or over produce offsets Myrtillocactus Pros: Longevity Large grafting area Cons: Average growth speed (could be a pro, scion dependent) Slow to propagate (striking roots) Pachanoi Pros: Easy to graft onto Easy to handle Longevity Can handle heavy scions Good for slab grafting Large grafting area Cons: Not suited to small seedlings Thirsty Pereskiopsis Pros: Suited to small seedlings Vigorous growth Impale grafting Can handle little or lots of water Cons: Constantly offsets Can't handle heavy offsets unless staked Covered in glochids Selenicereus Pros: Quick to propagate Easy to handle Vigorous growth Cons: Similar cons to Hylocereus or Pereskiopsis
