    Looking for straight razors

Hey guys, bit of an odd one. Looking for some straight razors that I can refurb for my own collection, so not looking to spend too much per razor or can trade for something Brands such as: Böker CV Heljestrand Dorko Dovo George Wostenholm J.E. Bleckmann Joseph Wostenholm Joseph Elliot Joseph Rodgers Le Grelot Le Jaguar Mappin & Webb T.R. Cadman & Sons Taylor Thiers Issard Wade & Butcher Pretty much anything that has "SHEFFIELD" or "SOLINGEN" on the blade If it has any of the following I probably won't be: Chips in the blade edge Lots of pitting or substantial rust Hone wear on the spine If you have a razor and want to give it a good home, please make your way into my inbox! Thanks

    Looking for straight razors

Bump. Always looking for new additions. That they do. I've got an E.M. Dickinson 'Invicta King' from the 1920s doing all my seedling and pere grafting work. Absolute workhorse

    seed sale gone wrong

That money is gone. Sorry Matt has a history of scamming people. Recently busted for the thefts of some decades old Ariocarpus spp?
  4. Re-added. Unsure why it was removed KK numbers are only area collection/locality numbers, are they not? If there is a clone(s) with a KK prefix then I will add
  5. Our mead is done. Primary and secondary fermentation, finished up at 14% abv. Bloody tasty stuff Planning on doing a honey/blueberry beer next. Perhaps similar to a Gose?
  6. Been a bit busy but I will get the seeds out this coming weekend Happy growing to you all

    Wasabi wanted

Can't help you source this but are you aware the climate needed to grow these is a cool climate? Think there is only one commercial grower in Australia, based in Tasmania Be interesting to see if it can be grown on the very bottom end of mainland Australia at all. Good luck
  9. Bees are plugging along filling the sectional frames Went down to Margs recently and found a very similar product, same size square but only one sided, $33. Crazy price

Looking for good white wine grape vine cuttings/seeds

While I can't help with supply of grape seeds, I'm curious why you want to grow from seeds? The genetics of the variety isn't completely carried over by way of seed. Like cactus, propagation should be done vegetatively if you want the known characteristics, particularly for wine making

  16. Some people may have seen this posted elsewhere but for those that haven't, this is Sandalwood. A slow growing, hemi-parasitic plant, meaning it is parasitic but can also photosynthesize on its own. The usual host tree in plantations is the Acacia acuminata. Other host plants can be Acacia victoriae (and other nitrogen fixing plants - so other FABACEAE also?). Even Casurina obesa can be used. The common host in the wild is Acacia aneura (Mulga), which is also extremely slow growing. I will be doing some experiments to see if they are able to use Eucalyptus for hosts, among some other Genus Seed ripening on the tree. It consists of the brown husk which contains a hard nut which holds the seed. Some nuts will rattle around inside the husk and some the husk will shrivel over the nut - this is a pain in the ass as you have to de-husk them. I find if you leave seed over an ants nest they will do the work for you but it may take some time. This is the first time I have seen the husk and hard nut splitting open while still attached to the tree. I took all the seed from the split ones and planted them with some jam saplings. I am taking notes to see if these are viable. Sandalwood seedlings can survive for approximately 12 months from time of germination until they require a host. The nuts need to be cracked before germination will occur. These nuts have a natural weak spot along the micropyle. A few gentle taps with a hammer and it will split open. Then the imbibing of water will kickstart the process. Loaded with unripe fruits. Another 4-6 weeks and we will have bucket loads - literally. I love the foliage colour. Cool photo of growth stages. I have removed 8 seedlings and will also take notes on how well they adapt to being transplanted, if at all. Hopefully can do a seed give away towards the end of the year for those who have good climate, soils and host trees which are at least 1 year old. Said seed giveaway won't take 2 years either Note: all from private land
  17. Variegated? This has been yellow from the get go. Never seen one like it in the hundreds/thousands I've grown, all in the same potting mix

  20. Had a quick look in the flow super. 3 middle frames are pretty much the same as far as how much has been capped off already
  21. Bloke at work and I put on a brew this morning, after months of talking about it and being unable to do it due to other commitments We used 5kg of my honey, 2.5kg of cherries, 2kg of sugar and a sprinkle of cinnamon. Finishing off some of his chocolate coffee vanilla stout while we got the brew on. Damn tasty!

  23. The mob on the lawn were a swarm from hives on the other side of the fence. Often they land on lawns it appears. Odd place though
