Ahh well, back to the drawing board. I've got another syringe, same age + 3 weeks-ish, is there any way to distinguish btw an LC and a dud syringe. Don't want to hold a grudge if I noobed up a perfectly good gift. ***Never mind, dumb question. Eminently searchable. ***

Thanks for the advice HSP, Springvale's a bit of a pain in the arse to get to, but I'll definitely try out the stall at the Vic markets. I think i've walked past it before and just assumed there'd be nothing of interest...

A friend of mine received a spore syringe a while ago. The syring itself contained fuzzy white blotches rather than the discrete specks one might expect in such a syringe. Being a total newbie to the world of mycology the friend went on to innoculate a couple jars (following the PF-tek closely). It's been three weeks since innoculation and no sign of any mycelial growth. Was the syringe just a dud? It did sit around for a month (in the fridge) before use. In any event the whole thing looks like a bit of a flop. On the plus side the jars still look free of any bacterial growth or other - seems like he had the sterile conditions thing down-pat. Thanks.

Have any of my fellow Vics tried http://www.cactusland.com.au/ . Seems to have some decent prices - reports??? Good / Bad / Indifferent?

Hey all, just two quick questions. Firstly how long to SAB deliveries tend to take, no complaint I'm just a very impatient bunny. Also how does one go about finding a PC (or other) spore print? Thanks.

Gotta put in for a shot at that Eileen. Thanks dude.

One of these days I'll give something back... ... I swear. Count me in.

Australia's Naughty Plants & The official gardening tips thread

This is something law students are taught on (basically) day one. State legislation changes quickly, and the schedule can be altered easily and quickly by state bodies. Safest option is to have a quick look on Austlii for the relevant Act, then check the respective gov sites [in victoria go to hxxp://www.dms.dpc.vic.gov.au]. As a side note I've just blown a couple of precious hours searching for case law specifically relating to proving intent in relation to Scheduled species. I can't find any reported cases, but the standard would no doubt be the same as in other areas. I can do a write up on this if anyone is interested, but the subject matter's very, very, very, very, very dry... -
Ahh well can't win em all. I won a garbage bag full of easter eggs in a raffle when I was ten , no need to call Lady Luck in for a performance review. Thanks for the comp Naja.

No way I could miss out on that. Thanks Naja.
