    holy shit

First thing, there is plenty of disturbed anti-US members in many rouge cells over in that part of the world willing tho die for the cause. There would be no shortage of people avaiable for this job. Theres always another 2 suicide bombers each week, so why wouldnt there be a few ready to learn to fly planes? Suice bombing or sucide flying, it there a difference? "How can you make someone down a plane by threatening to stab them?" Not threaten, just stab em and fly the plane? isnt that hard, a few ladies(Not to say that ladies wont kick back), a couple of piolts and nav crew. three dudes could take em out easy. No no can stop you if they aint movin. Then like I said, if a simple computer flight simulator like MSFlight( an exact replica of a 767, cockpit and controls)cann replicate a passenger liner, and you have minor flight experience, it wouldnt be that hard to fly an already taken off aircraft into a fucken huge bilding, or two.. As for getting on the planes, security is soo slack over there in domestic terminals, like our bloody bus service. again, getting 10 people or so into two or three airports,ok, it still requires planing but I still think it wouldnt be too hard.

    holy shit

Whoooe shit. I was woken this morn to find myself feeling the same at the begining of the gulf war. Another war showed in all its gory glory on tv. It felt quite surreal. I watched that second plane hit the second tower and I was shutterd with an imense feeling of disbelief and desensitization. It looked like a computer generated movie, the reality of it blured with previous explosive movie scenes shown in the latest block buster. Its such a strange feeling... it must be horrible. People are right in thinking, "they deserve this", i agree in some respect but as torsten said , those peolpe in those planes didnt have to die and nothing excuses this type of action against anyone. As for a masterminded plan, comon, any goose with a airport schedule, a few computers and a copy of MS Flight simulator could get away with this, plastic knives, whatever, it wouldnt be that hard when you think about it. Once the crew was taken out, who can stop you? As nasty as it seems, it was a hugely sucessful, cheap strike at the heart of the US with their own flying fuel(explosive) carriers. Very clever but by no means a masterminded attack. Those poor people............ D

    PMA article on JJJ today

Seems that those ruthless cooks have been at it again. And also the fellow that kicked it(sorry if this is a little harsh). Apparently that "kid" that OD'ed was a regular chewer of this shithouse drug. He apparently also had "Doctor Death"(adelaide's street name for PMA) T-shirts printed up, with something like : 100mg (??) rocks your life. Well it rocked his alright. Seems Adelaide has heaps of this crap floating around. Please be warned, these have been known to be a beige/chocolate brown filled caps, also choc-chip looking tabs, and recently Blue caps(the cap colour) and also blue powder put into clear caps. Appaerntly this guy had 2 caps. Fuck knows how much is in there (extimated 180mg, which must be cut a fair bit) but this drug is a killer. I know of a few distant people that have lost dear friends due to this drug. It also caused a fellow to have sever convulsions at a club, follwed by 2-3 days in a coma. Funny, the guy was the son of a high ranking police officer in SA. You recon that didnt stir shit...... I agree, testing is the only way people will know what they are eating. It should be promoted to save lifes. Still youy cant save those foools that know what they are eating and continue to do so...

    Macrozamia communis (Budawong palm)

No probs EA, good luck with the germination, you can also use native tubes for the seed, nice and small in diameter and deep enough for a decent root system. All the best D

    Macrozamia communis (Budawong palm)

HIya Ea, This plant is not a cycad either. Cycads display a central vein down each leaflet, whereas this species does not. This key is one the easiest ways to tell macrozamia and leptozamia's from cycads. Ea and Ed,Why do you need to look further, I just gave you precise details on how to germinated the seed? looking at the deatils given re the embryo, this would only tell you if the seed is viable still or dead, would be a good idea to cut one open.... ...Just dont plant the whole seed in, olny half to 1/4 of the seed. Oh yeah, and I have seen these babies she grew from seed around 10years ago, beautiful plants.... One of my favourate..

    Macrozamia communis (Budawong palm)

Hiya, after a discussion of seed germination with an older friend, she stated that the seed should be cleaned, then placed on its edge, germination eye pointing horizontally, and up on its side, the more narrower of the faces down.Only in half way, iuf not just on the surface. Germination will take from 10 months to two years!! But be patient, they will germinate. Keep damp. Hope this helps.... D

    Myrtillocactus geometrizans

Hoi hoi, EA, dont have any at home but there are plenty of them at most nurseries around here... most between A$7.00 and A$10.00. Lemme know if you want me to pick any up for you. D
  10. HIya, I have some seedlings that are also very slow growing, would local acacia soil work for this?? Also, would I need to introduce a like organizm into my a.confusa seedling tray... maybe water with some soil soaked water....

    graffting lophs to trichs, Torsten?

Hiya, I have also completed a micrograft a few months ago, the little peyot was only 4-5mm in dia. held in place with tape. It took well, begining to swell slightly after a few weeks. Now it has truned browny green(I assure you its not over lighting) and has two visable roots emerging near the graft join. Is this trying to lever itself free from the host? Dont wana loose her...

    Organic pesticide solution???

You may find that comercial pyreth mixes also contain white oil and or surfactants to aid in even distribution of the contents as it hits the plant. I would say, that either the white oil,or surfactant will cause clogging of the pores. NOTE that aerosols also contain hydrocarbons that may also burn our friends.

    what is it??

Thinking hard.... I may not have actually purchsed that exact cacti pictured ( dutchess, athough i think IS the same as torstens picture). I recall leaving that one there, so that beautiful flower wasnt damaged. I did take one from right next to it, which was the one wira veiwed the other day. May not have been the same, but im sure they didnt have two types of scops there. Never know though. I have noted that my small scops that have been slightly neglected have exhibited the same shrunken aerole, and noticable notching. Due to lack of water. I assume this wouldnt happen up there Torsten? plenty of rain and Im sure its watered everyday Again, the dutchess might be a natural scop/? hybrid exhibiting slight differences in physical characteristics. D

    what is it??

Hiya ,No, the pollen was off of the road. Interesting though, that roadside plant seems around the same age that TFW had the scop/j.g in stock..Ive been keeping an eye on it for a few years, actually very fast growing, quite possible its origin was TFW since TFW is just down the road by a few kliks. My plant happened to snap off the top 1/3 on the way home, and set in rot, lost the top but I have the lower section still. Just checked it and it has vertually no spines on the lower section, if not no spines then very very small. On the new growth the spines are very small but apparent. Heres a pis of that scop/jules AKA dutchess from TFW. So is the dutchess a scop or the same as this (Juul's)? Not sure, maybe a trip to TFW is in order, but from the look of the pics, although not that clear, there seems very little(no) if any spines.I would say this is the same as yours. PS: note the other scop/jules in the background. Aslo looks similar to pic of Peru 64.0762 in Trouts notes, SC 2nd edition, page 350. Please note the pic on page 296 of the same book, the bottom flowering TJG, looks very similar to that one of yours, but it too, has smaller spines on the new growth.(just visable near the tip of the plant) [This message has been edited by dutchie (edited 31 January 2001).]
