  1. I used to grow a few yellow suav about 3 homes ago :) , it was my first brug species from seeds yrs ago but they died tryna overwinter them indoors .. and by this go round I had learned sang and arbo were cool growers..

-this one that I bought labelled arborea has never been an arborea in it's whole life but it took flowering to realize.., however it seems almost identical to suaveolans (which as a noob, to me; is as strange as I haven't learned the main differences to look out for and so many look the same anyway for now) it smokes the same but the flowers seem a little shorter than the suav I grew before ... and the flowers are pink..

no worries either way but if you want one I'll gladly try to root one to send on to you if it does float your boat in the end.

  2. got a bit scorchio on a few since feb :) but they've been looking a lot more like they wanna grow and they're really digging the heavy flash floody downpours today , especially the vandas... and leafys

I'm just wondering if trichos might feel flowery after all that tomato feed, the light levels & duration reduction and of course; drop in night temps too.

  3. Thank you very kindly I'll dive into the links right away , and thank you just as kindly in advance for the arbo seed

..I was hoping on trying arborea for it's cold hardiness here in the uk although I still think I will have to lift them and hard hack them back for overwintering in the shed or something..and that's good to know it can self pollinate too ..

sounds like really cool projects you're running there.. I'll bet it's a joy to oversee generations and have that overview of experience and foresight

  4. I try not to make hybrids (although plan to with trichos) and feel I haven't advanced that far so tend to try to learn how to duplicate true species... so as to help the plant whichever plant it is .. but since your thread on your datura hybrid tek and this convo the pull to the idea is immense! :D

  5. I thought it's playmate was B' arborea until the lack of short flower and calyx became apparent (was bought as white flowering arborea) but it reminds me of the only brug I ever grew before and that was yellow flowered suaveolans ... cept this one has salmon/pink flowers... - even smokes the same as far as I can tell.

..shall i purposefully pollinate them with each other while I have the chance? - seeing as the sang is self sterile..

if I forget give me a shout please by all means because... half my brain is asleep often (not even joking lol) so it's easy to lose track when time passes and just down to my biology.

Nice flower, I've only been able to grow this one when I lived in Belgium. I tried for several years to grow Brugansia sanguinea in Florida, but never had any luck getting it to even flower. It always just up and died on me before it got more than a foot or so in height.

    Oooooooh!

dyu guys want some of the seeds off them if they get that far?

there's only one sang' so i dnno if they need to pollinate with another but I guess with there being a diff species right next to it that it could be a cross I guess?

  7. edulis is a great smoke blend ingredient (and tea) so i should imagine this one is even better probably - edulis smoke tastes like the fruit and is really calming , wouldn;t operate machinery on it 1st 2 times or so (a bit dizzying ) and it can be overdone with edulis leaf in my exp' but dry flower was easier to have more ... so maybe with incarnata possibly too? or perhaps not, let us know if you samp' it as a smoke blend ingredient I'd love to know if it's also nice

make sure cracker dry ? i think i was told to do that because of some sorta cyano.....something releasing if wet and crushed? i forgot the finer det's lol , at least for now

  8.  oh thanks , its from a supermarket fruit seed chucked out in the garden last year.

I was surprised it survived at all this far.

I accidentally dug it up about 3 times over the last 6 months or so while transforming the garden and ,.. well , they're tough cookies it seems !

Happy if it doesn't fruit at all, just great to finally get somewhere with one , even if totally by accident, after a decade or so of cocktail stick over a glass method fails :3 and viewing as strictly tropical.
