mmm. I think you have to cut your Yowie in two pieces and send me one. I put it in my greenhouse and then we have to look. You are living in UK or not? And you have a OZ clone?I wonder what my Yowie would do if i gave her some GH stylee
I want say if you dont give small T. peruvianus enough UV light they look like pachanoi.
I buy a german clone 'Tiefenrausch' the guy Who sell this plant say that is a short spined and thin peruvianus. I Seen a picture of a 30 cm plant and it was 100÷ looking like pach. I grafted this plant at spring last year on a pach an put it in a Greenhouse. Look at my picture...like fat and spined peruvianus. But i think its not only the light, the heat is important also.
Sorry for my bad english.

Its not only a köhres thing. Some of the shops sell the seeds as pachanoi/peruvianus. First i grow some of my plants at the window and they looking like pach. Then i get my greenhouse and they make Boom and get extrem spines like peruvianus.

ok the raCE is on...3 equal size grafts....1 on dragon, 1 on pere, 1 on trich
interesting to see what will grow the fastest!
reckon Incog should throw some special seed to the winner...(needs a winning time/date)...anyone else in the race?
All in on pereskiopsis.
Peace

I use chinosol 1g on 1l water. It works very good against mold. I never lose one seedling. I dont know did you get it in australia.
-
Thanks. Yes it works fine. The graftings are small at this time, because i Do it at very late at last year. But 8 to 10 weeks and the new growing time begins at the window.

This is the best photo I could do here in Hamburg, Germany. Otherwise, there were only storm and rain.

Definitely. If the p.sparthulata clone is not sterile. There are not different clones of Pereskiopsis sparthulata. But two different types of Pereskiopsis. The hairy one looks totaly different! Its Pereskiopsis kellermannii or Pereskiopsis velutina.

Can we see pictures? I am quite fond of pereskiopsis, they change their appearance drastically under different conditions. For me t5 fluro lights it becomes hairy. Full sun it becomes super spiky.

If you live in europe. No Problem. I buy it on eBay. When it gets older it got one big spine. But still more pleasant than sparthulata. I have to look for a picture. For the love of god, if you have a glochidless pereskiopsis please distribute it to everyone else

I think its only a effect of grafting.

L. alberto-vojtechii is a form of l. diffusa. I think it is normal that it can have caracteristics of l. diffusa.

I have 2 or 3 species of pereskiopsis. First is the standard p. sparthulata. The second had longer leaves wooly areoles and no glochies. I buy it under the Name p. kellermannii. A Very interesting species.
And p. porteri, but they look similar to sparthulata... i think is the same.

For Trichocereus pot-plants i use soil for tomatos and cucumbers and Mix it with perlite and Lava. And water only with rain water. After one year i use cacti fertilizer.

Yes this is the man i talk about.
Mmm ... i have a lot of trichocereus seeds for the next year. But i think i have to make a Order for this pach and his wild collected peruvianus.

I think the scopulicola seeds from (DE)=Germany are the same like the scop seeds from SS. I now only one guy in germany that sells scop seeds and He sells seeds to SS. I am in contact with him.
I buy scopulicola x pachanoi seeds from him.
Did SS have New wild collected pachanoi seeds? Pach BK14518.4
