awesome pics and results people, love the Narelle Master B, thank you for sending me one. your werd op's are sexy as Psyentist and Berenger I love them Len op's long time. takes bit of effort and cost to distribute these genetics so its great to see the fruits. oh...... and please do feel free to send me any sexy plants you have too many of...... inc variegates and mutants, lol I got my Pod 1 seeds in around January 2016, long time after most on this thread my seedling to pere skills suck so mine are all on their own roots, come spring I will do a whak of impale grafts.
-
good onya for starting this thread Solomon a pic of my Pod 2 seedlings, sown December 2016 I've tried seedling to pere grafts numerous times and I just can't get it so I wait till seedlings are big enough and then impale them on pere that I've sharpened to a point, these are obviously way to small to do that with yet though.

We don't discuss that kinda thing on here man. this cactus forum is about the aesthetic appreciation of cacti.

the SG mix from pod 2 (2016) are a mix of most of the open vars that were avail in the giveaway from Mr X's garden. After making the giveaway seed bags up I mixed all the remaining seeds together. i sowed the seeds I kept from pod 2 in December. link to the pod 2 thread that has the list of the seeds that went into the SG mix 2016 Hopefully Pod 3 giveaway may be happening soon........

These plants go for heaps of dough. The one before this one went for $615, was a bit smaller.

I've a 30cm pachycereus pringeli, seed grown, that's lived here going on 2 years now. Shes potted, outside in the elements and has done fine through the winters so far, more spikey than this biggun is so I presume this big one will do fine here Micromegas, thanks for the reassurance but, be very sad to kill the plant. i do have trouble with some forms of pilocereus and azurocereus hertlingianus sure don't like the hail we get here. Thanks Nrivers, the plant would look very nice in your wonderful garden also. i got her for 300 and some trade plants. The person selling the plant has a cactus shop in a town bout 25 mins from where I am, some nice plants there, not many trichs but, lots of ornamentals and some nice pillars.

I heard the same story from a guy that went to the garden before me. The owner of the garden was reluctant to let tip 1 and tip 2 go. The ss is about 20 meters from where tip 1 and tip 2 were growing, both areas get full sun. Theres 3 or 4 different cactus plants growing with the ss, a chance then maybe tip 1 and tip 2 were a different plant growing amongst them all. The areoles on the huge ss plant at the property are uniform from the base of the plant to the tips, no areole or spine difference at all. The areoles of the ss and the two tips are different I think. Ive had the ss in my garden for a few years now, originally from the eBay seller, looks nothing like these 2 new tips to me. The 2 new tips are much more Validus like than any terschekii I've got or that I've seen at Dawson's. crossed the ss with yowie last season, repotted the seedlings a few days ago.
