ID on possible victorian subs
HolographicYou replied to realeyesrealisereallies's question in Fungus Identification
When in doubt throw it out! I wouldn't be so confident with those ones. :/ -

We still up for this Sunday?

Awww. I'd take my dad's tinny over to New Zealand if customs wouldn't catch me on the way back. Could you chuck one of each in a bottle and throw them off the west coast? I'll wait at the beach.

What kind of acacia is this?
HolographicYou replied to at0m's question in Plant Identification (non-cactus)
Certainly resembles Acacia iteaphylla. Though it doesn't look quite the same... :/ -
Geelong Region Acacia
HolographicYou replied to The Deb-One-Amine's topic in Australian Native Plants
Hey Jai, Sorry to get your hopes up but I'm referring to Acacia Elata and I wasn't necessarily referring to active acacias. One could argue eucalyptus is active if you were to look into the CSIROs work into synthesising mescaline from euc saw dust. But otherwise I would say they are best used to clear your sinuses with their aromatic oils. -
5th anybody?

Geelong Region Acacia
HolographicYou replied to The Deb-One-Amine's topic in Australian Native Plants
Is this a comprehensive list? Really no longifolia, sophorae or floribunda in Geelong? Elata or oxycedrus? -
Personal Seed Bank
HolographicYou replied to Zedo's topic in Sustainable Technologies & Ethical Living
I know a lot of people refrigerate their seeds although I've never bothered since I mostly collect acacia seeds and they are hardy as all hell. I would be interested in comparative results with fridged or frozen seeds vs not. I often eye off tackle boxes for my seeds but haven't gotten around to it yet, I just have an unorganised draw of ziplock bags. -

Hahaha who is game enough to collect seeds? I wanted some seeds myself but I reevaluated my need for the plant when I was the one who had to collect them! If anyone has a suit of medieval armour and is willing, I'd be interested.

Oh please! Ive been waiting for this giveaway! :D

My friends sware by the nutribullet, though i think thats a bit over kill for their purposes. For bark and the like it might be a good option if it is around 1000w. That is if the $200 price tag doesnt put you off. You could just buy cheap blenders from kmart and everytime they die just exchange it for another..... I mean no that would be immoral...

Was a great day yesterday! Its been fantastic meeting everyone over the past year. I was afraid of being intrusive, being a new face in relationships that are years old but you have all made me feel very welcome!

Heavy cannabis use associated with reduced dopamine release in brain, similar to other addictions
HolographicYou replied to Alchemica's topic in Pharmacology, Chemistry & Medicine
Interesting article Alchemica, thanks for sharing! Now we wait for the famous "pot isnt addictive" remarks? Its about time some actual study has been done in this area, I know many people who are dependent on cannabis including myself some time ago. Not that I believe its worse than an alcohol problem but I think its important to clear the mis-information around this plant, even (especially?) if it means debunking a possitive quality that people have been taking for granted. -
Hope YOU are doing well, I remember you from the rainy day melbourne meet! :D
-
Shall we go ahead and say this sunday then? May not be able to let your hair down as much but at least a few people can make it.
-
Wow, way to bump an old thread! But I do agree this is a great source of information. It even inspired me to go and buy seeds to a lot of these orchids. Pffft... like I was equipped enough to germinate dust!
