http://www.gizmodo.co.uk/2013/09/uh-oh-uk-porn-filter-also-blocks-vpns/ or better than blocking the internet, just have government sponsored propaganda and advertising beamed straight into our neo-cortex, i'm sure darpa's working on that

uk porn filter also blocks vpn

remember, our new supreme overlords wished to install the same filter in shitstrailia (by stealth mind you), and only backed down because of potentially damaging press 2 days before an election. when it's introduced to parliament again i'm sure both "sides" will jump at the chance to spy on their subjects. can't have one of the eyes half closed

    Profitable plants

i hear saffron is quite valuable, but after watching landline many times it seems to me that a less profitable crop can be boosted by "value adding", making jams/spreads/pickles etc, cheese/yoghurt if you're on a dariy and etc.

alcohol isn't a bad thing, in or of itself. it's just the way it's consumed by humans which makes it destructive. if you can consume alcohol and still achieve the things you want in life**, then by all means drink up. if not, then don't. **and thats the things you want, not what those shit heads in"society" tell you you should be "achieving"

    US Government shutdown

not just military, the state cops are becoming increasingly militarised as well, basically any armed resistance would be totally annihilated within days, with extreme prejudice

  14. yeah, but you're assuming people on the outside looking in. i'm saying the people on the inside, the people developing tor are the fuzz, yeah people can remain "anonymous" but only if they want them to, it's only the written laws which restrict their advance, i remember reading one of the "snowden leaks" saying that the vpn encryption has be broken, maybe thats just propaganda or maybe they know anything and everything which happens, it's only the restriction of requiring a warrant which limits prosecution?

    no youtube sounds?

actually for some reason all utube videos i've loaded lately have come up muted, regardless of how i last left the window
  16. that's the thing. tor was developed by the US military, and it's inconceivable that the US security intelligence apparatus doesn't have it's claws in it. if anyone thinks they would let something like tor develop beyond their control well, i have a bridge to sell you. so why don't they go around busting everyone? well, why don't they go around "busting" their "terrorists'? it's an asset, just imagine how much intelligence they're gathering by this "secret" network,

    Living clean

some scholars argue that karma was merely invented to justify the divide between rich and poor*, "we're rich because we did good in a past life therefore we deserve it, you're poor because you did bad in a past life therefore you deserve it", kind of thing. besides, the accumulation of "bad karma" (if it exists) really comes about due to intention, rather than action. recall the story of Cakkhupala: p.s. karma is not the same as cause and effect, as is my understanding. edit: also as a means of social control, just like the "sinning" of the bible says "go against god you won't get to heaven", "act such as to attract bad karma you will suffer in a future life"
