    TPM Terminator

Just looks like a normal tricho of some sort that's lost a rib on the middle piece then terminated the make the top piece??? Edit: I'm not great for giving id's but I always take things with a grain of salt when people start naming supposed clones after themselves. Obviously established breeders like Zelly being the exception.

    Digital Identity Bill?

I tried to have a look at what's it about but am confused by what's the problem? I already have the Medicare and Centrelink apps on my phone, I've had to provide copies of my driver's licence/passport/birth certificate for all sorts of things from applications to study or police clearances (I think?) etc etc. I don't use that thing where you share your doctor's info and stuff but I'm on the NDIS and in the public health psychiatric system so they know all that stuff already. Is it really anymore than just all that stuff combined into one thing? If the government wanted to track my movements I'm sure they could just use my phone and bank transactions and stuff right (although to be fair they would be wasting their time because my life is pretty unexciting on a good day). So I get that I'm extremely apathetic about securing my private data, whereas others are the polar opposite, which in hindsight is probably the way to go. But I'm still confused as to the issue? Do people opposed to it not have a phone, email, tax file number, driver's licence and so on? I think I must be completely missing the point of it right? I fully admit this isn't something I'm clued up on at all. So am I just too apathetic? Or just have no clue as to what it's all about?

    covid 19 vaccination

Hi zedo. You're wasting your energy trying to use an FOI to find freely available information as an open access article online mate. Here's the link to the actual article for you - https://www.mja.com.au/journal/2020/212/10/isolation-and-rapid-sharing-2019-novel-coronavirus-sars-cov-2-first-patient I don't have a clue if MJA is considered credible in your circles but it is for most medical researchers. For anyone interested, the way to critique what any 'scientific' media article says is 1) read their media article 2) check the media article has a citation of some form, if not ignore the media article 3) if so, track down the journal article via the citation 4) check the journal article does actually make similar conclusions to the media article, if not ignore everything and ignore the following steps unless you're interested in why the media is wrong 5) read the journal article critically asking yourself 'do their claims match the evidence', 'why are they saying that' etc etc., then if you want to be 110% thorough, skim through the reference list and check they aren't all from predatory or poor quality journals (usually preprints would be included in this list but with the unprecedented rapid production of covid papers you could let them slide, but really you should add another step and at the least read their abstract and results) 6) reach an evidence based conclusion.....and voila, your now thinking critically and addressing the scientific literature in the way it was meant to be addressed, regardless of your initial beliefs or biases. Oh and for further food for thought, check this diagram out. A lot of people on both sides of the debate like to use the 'cognitive dissonance' bias to counter others (not saying I've seen you use it zedo) but there's a lot of other biases to consider when undertaking critical thinking activities too.

Dude you're seriously underestimating the scientific knowledge of many of the members here. Just because don't give a shit, or can't be bothered responding, doesn't mean people don't understand. There are members here that are extremely scientifically literate and some are even leaders in their field, gaining them a great deal of respect both nationally and globally.

    Reaper type chilli

Is it just me or does anyone else find that the flavour of some of the really hot chilli's have a shittier flavour the hotter they get? I love chilli's and put them in almost everything I cook but the flavour of reapers and those sort of one's seem a bit off. The heat is great though. I can't really describe it but it's almost like a really unripe or poor quality capsicum taste? Something along those lines? Maybe I'm just buying shit quality ones from the supermarket, because I've never successfully grown any interesting ones from seed. I've killed a lot though :|

    covid 19 vaccination

@Halcyon Daze Well said mate! @Mycot viruses aren't intelligent, so vaccines can't increase variants, more potent or otherwise. Variants arise from mutations which are entirely random events. If there were only ten cases of covid in the world a more contagious or virulent mutation could occur, same as if there are millions of cases a more contagious or virulent variant could occur. Obviously the more cases there are, the higher the probability, purely by more numbers mean opportunity for a mutation to occur. Viruses don't react to counter the effect of vaccines, it's all a random occurance. And additionally, many mutations can have no effect on contagiousness or virulence, and can also reduce it. Every single day there are thousands of mutations occuring in the cells of your body, but the vast majority are silent and have no effect at all. That's just the nature of life, but fortunately there is a lot of redundancy in genetics, and many mutations often result in identical proteins being produced despite the mutation. There's 64 codons (eg TTA, CGC, CAC etc) coding for 20 amino acids. Some amino acids have 4 different codons all resulting in the same thing. So a mutation in one of those letters can still result in the same amino acid, and hence the same protein. And even if it does result in a different protein, they are often ineffective and result in no change to normal function. It's one of the beautiful things about life. There are so many redundancies in all organisms that all sorts of things can go wrong but still have absolutely no effect. If anything, if vaccines even slightly reduce transmission, then purely by lower case numbers alone the statistical chance of mutations occuring is reduced. Mutations are probablistic, so hypothetically if there's a 1% mutation rate and 100 cases then you might get 1 mutation that may well be less or more infectious, but if you have 1 million cases, you might have 10 000 mutations, most of which might be insignificant, but by probability alone, there's a much greater chance that at least one of those might be a worse strain. So it's all probabilities, viruses aren't intelligent and don't mutate due to someone getting vaccinated, taking some form of treatment or anything else along those lines. BTW l must admit I can't handle watching even 30 seconds of Joe Rogan, let alone the whole video, so I've no idea what he was saying, I'm just going on your sentence above the YouTube link and HDs reply. So I hope I didn't just type a whole lot of irrelevant and incoherent ramblings haha Anyway, all the best Mycot, were all allowed to have opinions and it makes for a good conversation to have differing ones expressed here

    Phyllode extraction

Not sure if this really answers your question but..... Check out this nexus post. Stem not phyllodes though. I have no experience of extraction though. https://www.dmt-nexus.me/forum/default.aspx?g=posts&t=27722 And this one says no for phyllodes but yes for stem. https://wiki.dmt-nexus.me/Acacia_confusa And then there's this post from here. Maybe not so helpful though unless you check out the PIHKaL bit mentioned and see what it actually says, I sold my copy of it so can't check it myself. P.S. these came up as 3 of the first 5 links on a Google search

The dodgy paper is mentioned at least twice in your meta-analysis. It accounts for I think 600 of your N of 3406 and is a preprint so not peer reviewed either. It's reference number 47 in your meta-analysis if that makes it easier for you. Sure. I agree the politicians have fucked up, but blaming media, cherry picking and 'brain washing the public' isn't really great form if you're trying to press a point 'scientifically'. Every paper has an agenda, meta-analysis or experimental. Even the most rigorous and highest quality research have to 'market' their findings to publishers. Sounds a bit like the general media right? And I am a firm supporter of good science too. But, like I mentioned, check out Nick Brown and others like him. They are some of the folk at the heart of the fight against the replication crisis and dodgy data from psychology to biomed and more. I hope this doesn't come across as rude. I'm just being objective.

I remember him being in the news but didn't bother reading any of it just figured it was more hydroxychloriquine stuff. I guess the next logical step would be a covid themed speedball? Hydroxychloriquine/bleach/ivermectin -> trumpballs anyone?

Oops! Serendipitously just came across this. https://www.theguardian.com/science/2021/jul/16/huge-study-supporting-ivermectin-as-covid-treatment-withdrawn-over-ethical-concerns Some pretty funny bits like the author's using a thesaurus to change words of plagiarized content, dates that don't exist on the calendar etc etc. And if you're interested in data integrity, definitely check out Nick Brown who's mentioned in the article. He's a bit of a legend in some academic circles regarding dodgy data.

    covid 19 vaccination

I'm not clued up at on all this, other than booking in for my first Pfizer next week, but isn't one of the main reasonings behind vaccines to also reduce the number of infected people needing any form of clinical treatment, so as not to overload the health system? So assuming I'm reading changes post right, using ivermectin to treat severe disease, in lieu of vaccines which would, all going well, reduce the number of severe cases, be still putting a lot of unnecessary pressure on the health system simply by having more severe cases in hospital??? With our public health system so overwhelmed already in the pre pandemic world, anything that limits extra patient numbers, like hopefully vaccines will, surely has to be a good thing right? There's a shitload more severe diseases to manage than just extra respiratory ones. Does that make any sense? I don't know. But I will finish with its nice to see how civil these recent covid threads have been rather than the previous shit shows. Everyone has a right to choose and it's nice to see that being largely respected this time

Hey Mr BC! Can definitely grab you some wild ones but no idea where to get sterile ones. Just came up yesterday but will probably be back down in a couple of weeks.

Looking forward to this too. Doesn't sound like in the west we have quite as much of a show as you folk on the east coast but I think we still have a pretty awesome view tonight. Hopefully can get a few nice pics.

    Amanita muscaria in WA??

Ten years later and these are in plague proportions in the SW now. Only been looking for them for a couple of years now but have never seen anywhere near as many as this year. The Facebook WA fungus pages have had lots posted for a few years now but this year it seems like it's full of photos from all over South West Oz.

Looks promising but I'm only confident in id's when I have them in my own hands. Someone with more experience will be able to confirm it for you, so don't take my word for it. If it is then I'm definitely jealous of your property man!
  24. Good luck with it all mate. Hope he gets the answers he's looking for.
  25. Hi bonecud. Never heard of this before so had a bit of a Google on what people use it for, and a quick look at some of the literature. So saying that, take everything below with a grain of salt, as I clearly don't know much about it. What are you planning on using it for? The main thing I see is heavy metal detox? As a supplement like that it seems pretty dodgy. Maybe not harmful, but unlikely to be of any benefit. There's very little chance the average person has anywhere near enough heavy metals in their system to warrant a detox in any case. And to be honest, that applies to any form of detox, you're just wasting your time and cash. Of course there's the exceptions, such as naltrexone for opiate addiction, and things of that nature. Most supplements are really a complete waste of money from a therapeutic point of view. But there's no shortage of people that would totally disagree with that, so whatever floats your boat I guess. From a pharmacology point of view it seems quite promising as a scaffold for delivering other drugs, so maybe that's what your interested in? But that would mean it's already in the scaffold, so most likely real medicine right? So then as far as MAOIs, next questions would be what is the other drug, does it even have use of zeolite as a scaffold, and how and why? If you or your friend are on MAOIs, I wouldn't be taking anything your unsure of. Best bet would be to ask your/their doctor. Certainly don't listen to me for medical advice, or anyone else online. That's what doctors are for after all. And you know the old saying, alternative medicine that works is called medicine, not alternative medicine. If you are happy to say why you/they want to take it it would help I guess. But maybe that's personal so none of my business. I'd just finish with if MAOIs are working for you/them then why fuck with it? There's more important things than tripping or whatever else (and especially not some detox supplements). But these are the ramblings of someone who didn't even know you could take zeolite half an hour ago, so as I said at the start, take it all with a grain of salt, I could be entirely wrong. Am interested to see what anyone else has to say about it though.
