Insect farming thread
teamwhy replied to shonman's topic in Sustainable Technologies & Ethical Living
I have eaten a few insects before, I like Jing Leed the best in Thailand. It's just salty and crispy and goes good with beer. Like with most things it's all about how they are cooked. -
I'm in. I like to play.

NSW Government to seize babies of mothers who use drugs
teamwhy replied to CLICKHEREx's topic in News & Notices
The legislation is not that different to what is already in place now. Substance Abuse is already a mandatory report to family services. And if the kid is a risk of significant harm they can get removed. -

it transplanted really easy. I cut it back ;) dug it up and put it in a pot for a bit, then planted it out to it's new home. It jumped back into action pretty quickly. The top picture i just took the other day and it is the same plant.

Wanted: Purple-fleshed sweet potato...and Yacon
teamwhy replied to gtarman's topic in Seed & Plant Swaps
I would just buy some from the shop and plant them At my local organic shop they have purple skin white flesh, heap yummy.. you have inspired me to to get some to plant next time i'm in town -
It's just one room. It does have tires and rammed earth in the base also cans and bottles. Heaps of new material go into them, from black plastic, pvc pipes heaps of gravel and cement yeah and when i say 20 people that's how many are doing the workshop and when i was there only about 5 were working all the others just hanging out chatting and stuff. it has heaps of cement all mixed in a little mixer. so heaps labour intensive even know people are paying to do the workshop I think it still costs a bit.

I was lucky to go see a earth-ship build today. It taken about 20 people 2 weeks to get it to this. i will post more pictures later

Poll - Best Punishment Options for Minor Possession Convictions?
teamwhy replied to Slybacon's topic in Chill Space
No punishment. Support should be there if people need it like counseling etc. but if they are happy about what they use, it up to them. one of the biggest risks of most drug use is the legal risk. -
Help/Advice? buying rural farming land
teamwhy replied to qwertyuiop's topic in Sustainable Technologies & Ethical Living
i live in area where lots of people build without council approval. The local council seems to only work on complaints. saying that they have been to my house being all proactive a few years ago, they just made me fix up my greywater a bit better and didn't look at the house. All councils are different and they change over time also.- 24 replies
