    smushy/squishy cactus

As long as there is no discoloration you should be good. Dehydrated cacti generally do this so I wouldn't worry unless it gets squishy and translucent looking, then it's time I take action.

    smushy/squishy cactus

Yeah if it hasn't got roots it's prolly just slightly dehydrated.
  7. Being a fellow Murican I can help you out seed wise anyway. Will have a few seedlings to offer later this year.

    How Long to Sprout Thread

Generally good fresh seed should sprout between 1-14 days. I've had them sprout with 12 hrs of being started with the Baggie method. Tho you may have stragglers after that time. Edit to say keeping the soil warm also helps. 75-80F/21-27C seems to be the sweet spot for me.
  15. Few shots of the seedlings before I move them out to get some sunshine.

    Lumberjack origins?

Solaritea's looks to be shade grown and I know he does feed them regularly. Zelly's looks more full sun grown and he tends to neglect his plants so it's more hard grown.

Nope she crawls around these guys all the time just fine. Tho she does prefer the long spined cacti more, less of a hassle I guess
