It's cool, I thought flow hood had a hood type thing like you'd use in a chemistry reaction to avoid gas build up. Nice to learn that these can be referred to as a laminar flow hood also. I've seen one in action but didn't realise it was just one of these. Good work.

Unreal, I didn't know that they could fruit only on PDA. Well I would have to imagine that answers my Q. If the culture is able to fruit and the mycelium bruises blue then it must be active with psilicybin well before they fruit.
Cheers for that.

Does anyone know, is it illegal to grow mycelium alone? I just have been acquiring spore prints to look at the spore differences and I wanted to culture mycelium on Petri dishes to see how the different mycelia goes through growth stages. Is it illegal to even grow a psilocybin species to this stage. Obviously they would never be able to reach a fruiting stage on a culture dish and so there would never be a mushroom, I am not familiar with Australian law regarding this matter yet. Anyone know where I can find the answer in legal form, not just by, say so. I know it is illegal to grow mycelia with the intent if growing mushrooms but for there to be intent there would need to be more than Petri dishes with a growth pattern in? I would have believed it would need a humidity dome or a substrate with potential to grow fruiting bodies on? As agar lacks potential to grow fruiting bodies from my knowledge, I had thought it possible to grow the mycelium for research without licience. Please can anyone clarify this and provide a link?

Oh that's ok buddy. When you are able. I know what it's like when you get doing different things and suddenly there's not enough time for everything. I'm patient when people offer gifts. I'll be keeping my eyes out for any new breeds to send photos in case I can send a return favour.

Any for a enthusiastic beginner? I had an abundance back home in NZ but you don't know what you've got til it's gone :)I would love to have one in my collection.

Which one of the two has more active medicinal properties?
-
No worries I can understand that u never know who reads the info we share. I'm getting a plant from SAB and then I'll have a reference. Once I have seen one for certain I'm sure they will be around every corner.
-
Thanks for the tip on the SAB, They were out last time I checked I think,so I GOT SOME THANKS. Finally get rid of the E. Sinica that took so long to grow, and try the Rhombi, will be a good addition to the medicine garden if it is as useful as they say!

Goes to support the fact that the more they criminalize these substances the less there is known about them. It seems to put a strangle on the research as fewer people can obtain them. People Start to dream up more insane methods of hiding them putting the unsuspecting hungry child in harms way. I definitely agree that they should be in the hands of professionals and distributed with correct information and dosage to those willing to experiment. All these laws seem to do is drive it into the arms of amateurs and people just looking at the dollar value and screw the health of the curious. Decriminalize and regulate, Treat and educate! Anyway Nature is best!

Yeah I know it's supposed to be everywhere and I've found tons of plants that should be them from a distance, but yielding wrong flowers. Maybe they aren't flowering at the moment which makes it hard for me to know from leaf and plant structure. Anyone who could help in the areas I would be grateful. I have a couple E. Sinica's I can give away to the right person willing to help locate the species to further my study. Makes it hard coming to Australia and not knowing the species like I do back home, or where they grow.

If anyone has any Sida Rhombi & Cordifolia I would be grateful. Postage Paid. Been spending a fortune on fuel travelling to all the spots on the species locator but no joy. Unless anyone knows of a definitive spot here on GoldCoast where they grow. Getting nowhere with my huntingTHANK U >..........It's my first go at seed or plant exchangee so Bear with me if i need help with PM info.

Any left, would be great if available

Thanks for the help wit the PM issue I will give it a go. U funny buggers I do have some good swaps that would probably be ready to separate into separate pots but I am a bit unsure how I will be able to offer them. anyway thanks and any lophs or scops come up for grabs I'd be keen on a swap.
-
Oh too late is it well still got a swap for anyone with Lophs and Scops who can help with my problem of Prirate Messaging. Just need to work out how to PM so I can speak to people 4 swaps.
-
I have been on this site for a few months now but I just cant seem to work out how to PM. How much PH? Just after a cluster of four or so to get up and growing again. I have a good swap if you can help me figure out how to message privately just having site problems here. also looking for a Tricocerius Scopulocola with a side pup.

About the recent problems with bags, have you been using the same stock of bags? Maybe the bags are contaminated from storage? Just the first thing that came to mind when I read it. Perhaps I don't understand the use of bags fully yet. Good work on the flow hood, nice inspiration .
