Hello everyone; Well I love this forum and have gotten so much out of it, I thought it'd be time to say hi. I've used this forum mainly for its sheer volume of information, though about 6 mnths ago got jack of not being able to see any images because I wasnt a member... so I joined up. And then didnt get approved for ages ;). My luck to sign up when theres a site glitch haha. Anyway im a guy, married and young kids ;) I love cactus/ succulents and gardening in general. Ive been trying for a while the typical sth american jungle varieties and now acacia I've also received lots and lots of freebies from members I am keen to plant.! I love music and have been involved in music in some fashion for most or my life. As with my wife and hopefully my kids. Im more into producing now as I am too busy to practice my instruments.... On that note anyone wanting to record seqld I got a nice little home studio ;) While I'm advertising I do homemade hand painted guitar effects pedals. Or need something done in concrete??? Hahahaha I'm pretty into diy! Anyway. Hi! Ive met some of tje seqld crew already. I hope to meet more of you in the future.! Here's a bit of my wifes' and my garden, couple cool shots. Howdy. Ok I know this is probably a pretty hard question but I would like an id for this plant. It just popped up in the garden. God only knows where the seeds came from. I am by no means a chile expert however I do love eating them! So should I try to eat this one??? Advice sincerely appreciated. DB

Thank you all! The plant in that last photo is indeed a zig zag cactus but thought the real name was cryptocereus anthonyanus. Its a great plant and easily propogated. I could possibly sent a couple cuts if anyone wanted...

Rad is yes short for radical and is of highest exaltation where I come from. My favs are like you escape from new york and the incredible they live. Also big trouble in little china, the fog, first halloween, assault on precinct 13, christine, memoirs of an invisible man..... and starman was allright but a bit slow ;). Pretty diverse career and contributes alot to his movies. Ie produced directed wrote and did soundtracks on alot of his movies, not to mention his roles as extras too! Cool guy, I was in a couple bands when I was younger which a john carpenter movie would be the theme for a song. I dont watch too many movies nowadays but could easily sit through any of the above mentioned countless times!!!!

I have a question about germinating and growing seeds under cfl. I have 130 watt cfl and am considering running it on a timer to give my seeds a consistent environment. I have a couple heat mats and hummidity domes as well. Basically I would like some input if anyone else has had success.

Righto. Cant get to bunnings until the weekend so im still running 130 w cfl with the hood high as possible for the moment. But made a couple mods. Added small fan which I think is doing not much. I think a vent at the top of the chamber maybe?? Also added some shade cloth cover for seed box. However its pretty close to opaque type green shade cloth. So im sensing this is no good... anyone else use a filter for seeds?? Maybe some thin linen or something???????
