I did once have a variegated tricotyledon astrophytum, but those seeds were like 100% variegated. So I'm pretty sure it had nothing to do with it. Lol.

I just realized that these orders were from cactushobby.eu. For some reason I was thinking they were the same people.

I just got another invoice from these guys. Lol. I guess for some more of the seeds that weren't in the first package. Which I find really weird. I waited 6 months and now they decide to start sending me several packages only weeks apart after waiting for literally a half year since ordering. I would think they would just wait another two weeks and send them all together. I'll updated when it gets here.

Yeah, All of my tricotyledon seedlings ended up being normal. I get them quite often.

Keeping the pere watered might be your problem. I dry them out for 5 days beforehand otherwise a little bead of water just pushes up and either knocks the scion off or just makes a barrier between the two so they don't fuse and share nutrients. I also put vaseline around the graft junction (which is not easy to do) then they go into darkness for 3 days, then humidity for two weeks or untill the scion swells up. That's what I did. Just forgot about it basically. And I didn't pay them untill I got an invoice of what they were sending.

Got my seeds. Everything was good and labelled, but I was a bit dissapointed as all the seeds I was really stoked about were just crossed out on the list since he was out of stock. So I got all the seeds that I didn't want that bad but just thought I'd add on with the other ones I really wanted since I was ordering them anyways. It explains why my original estimate for the order was $150 and he only charged me $45.

I sterilize before every cut and use a new scalpel blade every session when I'm grafting. I'm super anal about it though so i tend to overdo stuff like that just to be real careful. I've had grafts start out strong and grow super fast for like 4-5 months and then all the sudden just stop growing. Then I did an autopsy on them and turns out there was just a tiny little bit of bacteria in the junction at first and it just took a long time to take hold. Then the infection rotted the connection of the two cores and nutrient transport stopped. It was weird, happened to a couple of them.

Well, there was a pretty big line at the hotdog stand and i only had my debit card, but the person at the front of the line heard the conversation and said that she would buy him a hotdog or two. Anyways, it doesn't sound like much, but it really impacted me. I literally started tearing up after because it made me so happy that there are people willing to lend a hand to others when they need it, just like I try to be everyday in my life. I didn't pay for my order untill like right before he shipped mine. So the paypal is still open. I waited till he sent me an invoice which took 6 months. And I'm still waiting for it to get here. Should be here soon according to tracking. I'll let you know how it goes when it gets here.

Hello everyone. I just started a TON of cacti seeds in these containers... There seems to be some mold showing up. I sterilized everything so i'm not sure why. I was just wondering if there's anything I can do. Can I spray the inside of it with a diluted H2O2 solution without killing off the seeds? Thanks.
