    Gibberellic Acid for Loph seeds

That is incorrect. The reason for the bleach and rinsed with Hydrogen peroxide is the sterilise the seeds. They are then placed in-vitro which is usually a MS solution that needs to keep in aseptic conditions. Sadly bacteria thrives in the media used for Plant Tissue Culture. If you are interested in this area there are many books on Plant tissue culture. Most require little biology background. Very accessible to most. also, I have some number of published papers on PTC and Cactaceae. Dylan.

    LOPHOPHORA seeds wannted

Hello all, I've recently taken to putting down a large volume of seeds. As it stands i've got over 50 containers with 100+ seeds per container germinating, with a variety of species of Cactaceae. I've also got over 150 containers with 6/8 cuttings per container of Hylocereus undatus, which I purchased from an aussie dragon fruit grower for use a rootstock. I had tried to purchase the following seeds but alas problems occurred. L. koehresii, L.jourdaniana, L.fricii, L.alberto-vojtechii, L.diffusa, L.Mischung, L.williamsii. I've been collecting succ/cacti for some years now and decided i would like to move my collection with the long term goal of developing and selling plants/seeds.I've only just started this transition. Can anyone here help with with the following seeds, in say batches of 100? Thanks Dylan

    Red Ariocarpus fissuratus seedling

To be honest i'm not experienced enough with these seedlings to say. I put them down in a container culture about six months ago. All the others came up green. This one came up red and stayed that way. I think i'll graft it and see what happens.

  5. Hey Guys, I've been putting down a lot of seed lately. About six months ago i put down some Ariocarpus fissuratus to my surprise one of them is totally red. I've yet to attempt to graft it, but it seems to be growing fine, all new growth is red too. No signs of green. I do have some Pereskiopsis spathulata ready if need be, what do you guys think? graft of leave alone?

Cactus tissue culture and hormone growth

NP's I was trying to source somewhere in AU to get MS and growth hormones but I can't find anywhere that will sell to individuals. There was one place however that does international orders http://www.hometissueculture.org/catalogHTCGsupplies.htm If anyone knows of somewhere locally please let me know. EDIT* just found these youtube videos for anyone wanting to get started http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Oh8804Kfdps...feature=related I'm planning to do some in vitro cultivation of lophs, aricarps, and some grafts onto peresks too compare the growth rate, pups development. I'll keep you guys informed if interested. P.S to the member here who said he would send me some peresks cuttings, I'm still keenly waiting
  9. Hello all, After doing some googling on "areole grafting" and I came across this post on the nook. "Inducing pupping, with different chemicals" Seemed interesting. after doing a little more googling it seems a lot of these chems are used in tissue culture. So i thought I would post these links here if anyone was interested in giving it ago. http://www.gwf.org.bd/IJSCP/Fast%20Track%2...%202007/1-8.pdf http://www.springerlink.com/content/00x103...u8/fulltext.pdf and a homebrew tissue culture setup. http://www.biotechnologyonline.gov.au/pdf/...re_in_class.pdf

Well I can't give you the seeds, Sadly the plant isn't mine. But I can get in contact with the people who run the show and ask if they could give me some form of contact for the person who owns that Loph. Sapp.
