    Erythroxylum australe

Nice one ph. A guy I know used to work for the council nurseries and relished planting e australe along major roads around here, hundreds at a time

    Natural Analgesics

Google the west African plant found to contain tramadol. Also psychotria colorata and native nq species that contain the same actives.

    Zanthoxylum simulans/ schinifolium (Szechuan pepper)

    E.sinica and related legal species?

I have never had a problem importing any of the daff/icon approved ephedra seeds into Australia (viridis, nev, etc). Sinica is not illegal (as seed) but is not a permitted import. You are best off trying to source other species locally, although they're not the easiest to come by as eph rarely flowers in our conditions. Living in qld I can no longer grow any species sadly

    Mulberry Cuttings

I'm soooo behind on trades it's shameful, but wanted to say I have m alba seed if anyone wants to put their hand up for the long way around That said I've never managed to germinate one up here, I don't think I'm getting the cold stratification right. Throughout my childhood we had a red bush in the yard so I know it can take the heat... Oh well I'll get there. Forget how many seeds I have, but PM me if interested and I'll spread them around.

    Best Comfrey Strain

The most desirable russian comfrey strain is the sterile "Bocking 14" cultivar according to wikipedia, but I've never seen it for offer here and it can't be imported as root cuttings. For medicinal purposes other plants do better. But for a nitrogen source it's pretty good.

    Viridis seeds

Not necessarily Brendo, depends on your patience. If your climate is warm enough or you have a controlled environment and can spray them at least daily and water weekly or as needed, then you're more than free to wait out the 2-4-6(?) month germination time. If you want some leaf cuts just let me know, they're easier of any Psych. sp people here are interested in. (Pleeease correct me if I'm wrong, this is very underexplored genus).

    Tabernanthe iboga

My mother just dropped all her leaves and is coming back rapidly with flower buds everywhere. If she fruits I'll share the bounty, if not, hopefully she'll at least have enough new growth by the end of May to get some cuts going.

    Ilex guayusa?

Potted them up. Think it's an I. p. Gonna taked my chances though, since the cutting was precut I didn't have much to go on!! Here's hoping I've flushed out the unknown bugs from the T. undulata cuttings I tried recently. -ef

    Ilex guayusa?

Curious to see if anyone is growing this little bad boy. Ilex paraguariensis is easily available as seed and, courtesy of T, in Australia as live plants. My "live" plant died in excess shade sadly, but I still have a decent bit of seed. Ilex guayusa however seems to have never appeared in the online market at all, however, in any form other than dried plant matter. So has anyone ever encountered a guayusa plant? If so could they get close enough again to propagate it? cheers -ef

Personally don't really care if I can get it to strike quickly enough this time of year Growing it from seed is not as trivial as the internet made it sound.

Guide to Boswellia sacra (Frankincense) germination

I have some seeds on the way from a vendor a few people here have had success with. If I was to sow them in tropical NQ what would be an appropriate time, as we cool off a little and dry off a little, although it's still raining at least once a week? And what about in more temperate climates? To those who've sowed seed with dismal germination rate - how many seeds do you use per how many of what type of pot without driving yourself crazy trying to keep soil moisture within an appropriate range?

Looking for Nymphaea caerulea - blue lotus(seed preferably)

I have a decent quantity of Nelumbo nucifera seeds if they are of use to you. I think the ones I have are blue but they're only newly bought and I've never had them flower, could be pink or white too. If you're interested, PM me roughly how many you're after with your address, if you take less than half my stash you can have 'em. You really don't need that many seeds though. I've never grown Nymphaea spp but you usually don't want to plant more than one Nelumbo seed for every 1-2m^2 of pond. I have 3 planted in a ~100L vessel that's around 1m diameter at the top and they're competing to the point where I'll have no choice but to yank 2 out so they don't all die although this is a much warmer part of the world... The maf web site tells me that both are approved imports as seed though. So you could always just import your own (http://herbalistics.com.au/shop/catalog/product_info.php?products_id=228 $4 for 50+, http://www.rarexoticseeds.com/en/nymphaea-caerulea-seeds-blue-lotus.html $19 for 500, http://www.ebay.com/itm/500-Nymphaea-Caerulea-SACRED-WATERLILY-SEEDS-Blue-Lotus-/140951776296 $15 or so for 500 from ebay with shipping)?

    Viridis seeds

Growing plants by seed which are usually grown vegetatively is fantastic as it increases genetic diversity and sustainability of the plant. However just remember that it won't follow the traits of the mother plant anywhere near as closely as a cutting. Viridis seems to seed almost year round up north. I've never bothered to grow psychotria seed myself but I've seen it self-seed at least once.

    Rare Ephedra seeds for sale

I have just acquired a bunch of rare ephedras. Unfortunately they were very exxie to get, and my financial situation is not the best at the moment, so I'm going to have to put some up for sale - I've never accepted money for a trade before, feel kind of dirty . 25% of all gross money will go to Jim's Kiva drive, maybe that will help. All are $20 per pack including postage. Ephedra sinica 15 9 bags of 20x seed available Ephedra fragilis 15 10 bags of 20x seed available Ephedra distachya GONE (you can try offering me one a trade) Ephedra equisetina 10 6 bags of 5x seed available Ephedra intermedia 10 5 bags of 5x available Of course if I owe you a favour and you are interested in any of the above let me know. High end (legal) trades are of interest, PM me. cheers guys -ef

    Ilex guayusa?

Awesome thanks d00d, might even drop one by qf's place, he's basically just up the road Is your plant old enough to have set seed? Was it propped veg or seed?

    Ilex guayusa?

d00d if you think it can be propagated will trade a rooted cutting for 25 yerba mate seeds + love? :* Although maybe it has a better chance of rooting up here? Sooo hot and humid lately. ph, not all ilex plants are equal, you know that qf if you're in to caffeine this is your plant... my coffee plants are pretty much useless.
