    Next Melbourne meet??

Yeah thanks everyone for a pleasant afternoon. And a great big thank you to all those who brought giveaways! I now have a few excellent little specimens decorating my garden. Looking forward to the next meet....

    Next Melbourne meet??

Hey guys. I came to a Melbourne meet roughly 12 months ago. Some if you may remember me... The tall guy playing with the devil stick. At the time of that meeting I was living in a small flat with no scope for gardening, but I've now moved to a house with a decent sized garden. I'm still very much a noob, but I'm keen to start growing a variety of interesting things. I will be coming along to the meet on Sunday (and bringing a friend), so any advice on getting started with my garden, or suggestions of what to grow will be warmly appreciated. I look forward to seeing you all there.

    Melbourne Meet Celebrate Spring!!!!

It was nice to meet you all and put some faces to names. It was a shame about the weather, but it could have been worse I suppose. Thanks to everyone who brought stuff along. I will have to make sure I contribute next time.
  4. Ok, well it seems there is no obvious fix to this. Thanks anyway folks.
  5. I was wondering why there seemed to be no more activity on the posts I was following, nor replies to PM's, as I wasn't getting any more emails. Then I logged in to SAB and saw that there had in fact had been both. This is strange because I had not made any changes to my SAB settings, and '[email protected]' is definitely still on my safe senders list within hotmail. I have checked my Junk mail folder and there are no SAB emails in there. Has anyone else had this problem? Is it possible that hotmail is just blocking these messsages outright? It's perplexing.

    Melbourne Meet Celebrate Spring!!!!

I'm a newbie and I'm quite keen on meeting some people. I was planning on coming to the October 21st meet, but if you guys were to arrange a September meet (say around Sep 23?) I'd be there for sure.

    Kratom - legal info sought

Ok thanks Alice. I've found the document I was after... http://www.comlaw.gov.au/Details/F2009L03012

    Kratom - legal info sought

Thanks for your helps guys. I'm still going a bit crazy though. From what I can gather from the links and hints you've given me, it seems it is forbidden to import Mitragyna Sp seeds for sowing, but I still can't find any reference anywhere to Kratom, Mitragyna Sp, Mytragynine, or any of the active compounds on any of the lists of prohibited imports. Nor can I find it in the poisons act Victoria. I am still assuming it's forbidden to import, but they are making it very difficult to find out for sure.

    Kratom - legal info sought

Is there anyone who knows how to look for the actual legal documentation that explicitly says that if is forbidden to import Kratom? I have searched the Customs Regulations and Schedules of banned substances on comlaw.gov.au but I simply cannot find reference to Kratom anywhere. Maybe I'm just not very good at trawling through this type of stuff. Maybe there's a legal minded person out there who can pick out the right document. Everyone says it's illegal and I believe them, but I would really like to see the actual document. Even if someone could nudge me in the right direction I could probably take it from there. Cheers.

    Melbourne Meet Celebrate Winter!!!!

Hi Melbourne folks. I would like to introduce myself. I am a Melbourne guy, 35 yo. I'm a total noob and I would really love to make some new friends and learn more about this fascinating topic. Are there any of you who are willing to water and fertilise this fresh young sprout of a mind, and nurture it through the first stages of development until it sets down roots? (Ha ha... sorry for the cheesy puns). Who's up for going to a park and do some juggling, sitting down for a cuppa, going for a bike ride or whatever takes your fancy! Please feel free to PM me if you're interested and think you have the patience to suffer through the questions of a pesky newbie!
