Hey, I wanted to see if I could ask you guys for some suggestions of plants I could start growing towards the end of February in Victoria. For so long I thought I didn't have it in me to look after anything (including myself :p). Now I realise I do and I love it. Something relatively easy for a beginner preferably, open to challenges. Something ornamental, other uses (medical, edible, entheogen) a bonus but not compulsory. Something pretty or something something bold and robust (a plant I can move inside when it gets big enough). Hopefully that's enough information for you guys, regardless, throw me some suggestions Appreciated, Del.

Hey I was wondering how everyone stores there dishes after inoculating. I've been wrapping mine in glad wrap and putting them in ziplock bags. Would people suggest leaving air in the ziplock bags or making them air tight? Thanks.

I've been reading how effing good the Shiiake 75 strain is and to my surprise its VERY expensive. http://www.alohamedicinals.com/cultures.htm Has anyone had any experience with this strain? If this thing is hard to come by in Australia how hard do you think it would be to get like a thing happening where people who are interested on this forum pitch in money. One volunteer then grows out some dishs and sends all the contributors a wedge? Sounds good on paper. I'm probably too idealistic for my own good!

I just started some Agaricus on malt extract agar with no peroxide. I shall posts the results in a few weeks with what my technique was if it works contam free (if that helps).

Hey, I signed up a while back but on completely forgetting my password for both this forum and the email I signed up with I've signed up again with another account. Basically I'm posting to request some prints if any are available as I just got a new super cool compound microscope from my uncle!! I would like to study some cubensis prints under my new microscope and I haven't had ANY luck in sourcing some to study. I wish I could say I have something to trade but sadly I have nothing as of yet. I am in the middle of isolating some shitake mycelium and some oyster mycelium and hopefully that will be a good way into the community. Anyway if anyone could help me out I promise that I will be returning the generosity to this community in the future. I know the likelihood is probably slim as this is my first post. Either way you can take this post as an introductory message. Thanks in advance. PS. Even though this is the mycology forum I've just been given a giant variety of chili seeds if that interests anyone.
