    Terence McKenna a CIA/FBI Agent?

I've wondered if he was ever smuggling for the Brotherhood of Eternal Love. It may have simply been a case of when the FBI finally caught up with him he got off his charges or had them reduced by supplying some valuable information about other smugglers/operations. His was quite articulate but I've never seen any proof he worked for the FBI and given his interests in ethnobotany (and smuggling) I would suggest it's more likely, if he ever was 'employed' by them, it was for consultancy on pyschedelics (mushrooms) or smuggling networks. He seemed like the type of person who would want to avoid jail time.

    Animal intelligence

Not really, their brains were about 69% of modern humans on average. Some larger brained erectus specimens are more likely considered heidebergensis. Still very smart. Erectus conquered much of the europe and asia long before modern humans did.

I can give you a heap of advice. PM me if interested in more detail. A couple of quick tips Ive found useful: 1) Make first date casual...like a lunch, coffee, drink, casual food. No need to try anything too fancy or spend much. You don't want to come across needy or investing too much effort. The main focus of a first date is GREAT CONVERSATION. Ask her questions to get her to do more talking and keep yourself mysterious. Try to get her emotionally switched on so instead of asking 'hey whats your favourite music?' say 'do you like dance music? How do you feel when your dancing on a summers night in a slinky dress?'. Try steer conversations towards you two being together 'Hey I can imagine you would be fun to travel with together!' or towards romance if you are frisky 'are you a good kisser?'. 2) Touch her in some way affectionately like holding her shoulder or guiding her through a door with your hand on her back. Touch her leg casually during a joke or making a point in conversation. This will help you break physical ice and subliminally mean you want to be more than friends. Physical flirtation is fun. Using your phone is a good way to get close and also show off your alpha maleness 'Hey lets take a photo together! Oh hey these are some pics of my new motorbike...check it out'. 3) Observe her body language. If she copies your moves or plays with her hair it's a good sign. 4) If she is beautiful don't emphasize it too much. Compliment her outfit instead if you must. Also observe what trouble she has gone to in dressing up for you. 5) If she accepts a second date (unless you get really physical on first date of course) and turns up you are basically home free. She's usually going to be really into you if she commits a second time. Make a physical move within a few dates at minimum otherwise you can fall into just being friends. 6) Stay off topics like sport, religion and politics (unless she's actually really into that) and steer more towards things like adventure, dreams, philosphy, travel and general compatibility things. Try avoid talking about specific hobbies until you get to know someone better but talk about your virtues instead. i.e rather than describe your CD collection describe your strengths as a person - strong, funny, stable, honest, exciting etc. 7) Tell her you play in a band. Even if you don't, haha. Kidding. Good luck!

Produce Recipes n tips n stuff

10 min pasta. Get pasta going in boiling water with a pinch of salt. Chop finely some garlic and capsicum and add to pan with tablespoon or two of extra virgin olive oil and a big bunch of fresh basil leaves. Then add chopped fresh deli ham of your choice. When ham starts to brown just a little and capsicum is softening add fresh italian heirloom tomatoes and a little water. A can of quality tinned italian tomatoes (I like Pelati) is easier and fine too. Simmer until pasta is cooked. Serve with freshly grated parmesan or similar italian cheese. For creamier version add half a container of creme fraiche. Beats bolognese because there's more goodness from the tomatoes and capsicum, is still tasty but light from the ham and does not require as much cooking time as bolognese.

    Trippin Ancestors.

Actually the Judeo Christian religions primarily grew out of Egyptian and thus Sumerian proto-religions. Some old european traditions and linguistics were adapted or incorporated but the fundamental system is from the middle east.

    Trippin Ancestors.

There's currently no way of accurately proving these ancient artists had taken hallucinogens. Consistencies between far flung cultures should be expected given our close genetic ties. It's highly likely certain rituals and graphic expression were utilized by groups before they even left Africa. People and cultures with no drug or ritualistic connections commonly produce hallucinogenic and geometric style art with great meaning as a matter of course. 'Of course, it still remains to be explained why these particular motifs were highly regarded by the artists and how these people became artists capable of symbolic expression in the first place.'
  9. BTW this was just recorded at our rehearsal space with a porta studio multitrack. Not a professional studio or anything. More of a demo to give to bars and friends. First time I recorded drums ever. Next time I need to procure a better kick drum. I found the kick really hard to fatten up and its also hard blending in the overhead mic's. Chord progressions, yeah we keep 'em simple. Some songs were just jams basically and my bass player hasn't been playing long, I can't write anything too progressive otherwise he just gets lost haha!
  10. Some original songs from my band. I sing and play guitar, my bass player sings a couple of songs. I have a few more songs missing I'll upload later. 'Name in the Sand' and 'Funk you' would be good ones to listen to first. https://www.reverbnation.com/#!/stonebones
  11. Try search for 'stonebones', shanghai and download the songs

Advice about a camper build, especially from any plumbers

Also look at the Ford Transit Van. There's a 4wd one that's been for sale forever on carsales.com.au I love the idea of offroad camper vans and variants, although they are not very practical. I used an ordinary 4wd with a good 3man tent, inflatable double bed with electronic inflator and lot's of custom boxes I can easily load up and unload. I always liked the idea of having an expedition vehicle but its just a pipe dream. I've seen some Westfalia and Trakka VW 4wd syncro's go for around $10k in australia before. They don't chew juice but might chew up your wallet on repairs. The Troopy's are a good platform but they are too long and thin. Some great wide Vans from the US but they tend to carry massive V8's. A 70's shagpile california van would be cool...but with 4wd. I always liked the idea of a 4wd Sandman. Here's some rough PS daydreaming ideas Ive played around with: Some other cool campers:
  13. I honestly don't know how David Icke could frighten someone. Maybe frightening he can make money for talking garbage...and he's not even a very good public speaker. Most serious people ignore him because he has a complete lack of facts and supporting data. This is how Icke likes to verbose: 'See? Of course it must be reptile aliens!!! Just like in my last book....but I can't provide facts because the reptiles hide it all...they control us!!!!'. He just rehashes his time tested emotional rhetoric to the working class battler whilst promoting his other books. Good work if you can get it I suppose. People still go on about area 51. Most of what went on there has now been de-classified. There were certainly secret projects there, most notably the fastest supersonic plane, but no aliens. Plenty of unidentified flying objects around but still not one single shred of evidence for extra terrestial life or technology on our planet or anywhere else in the known universe. It's not to say it isn't out there but we have zero proof. There's a fair amount of money involved in alien and conspiracy theories but not much scientific fact. The reality at the top levels of international banking, politics, military and global trade is a lot of boring meetings.

    RPG games

I'll admit I'm a sucker for classic RPG games. Anyone else? On console I like Skyrim, Dark Souls (it's a bastard of a game!) and the Dragon Age series the most. Fallout3 also good. I love the open world, detail and freedom of Skyrim but it's almost a little too 'realistic'. I wish it had more saturated colors and exagerated landscapes to it like Dragon Age or some MMO worlds along with better storylines and NPC's. It feels like Im walking around Colorado on my own rather than another world with a group of interesting NPC's. There's some others too like Fable, Witcher 2 and Dragons Dogma. On PC I have dabbled with WOW, Diablo 3, Torchlight and a few free to play games like Tribes, D&D online, Tera and Arcane Saga. MMO's are a little tricky to get into for me and the landscapes somewhat empty but I love the detail you can go into with your character. Back in the day I used to love Baldurs Gate 2, Diablo 2 and Neverwinter nights 2. Hopefuly the next gen of gaming will create some interesting HD worlds and experience.

Funny I had not checked where it was made but was thinking it could have been australian or NZ because of some of the accents! Thanks for the tips...I did open a few way points but when I go to the world map and click on things nothing comes up signalling I can instantly zap there. I'll ty muck about with the portal scrolls more. Know any other good 2D/3D ARPG's out there? I usually prefer first person like Skyrim but they are far and few between.

    RPG games

I got into this more last night and it's good...and it's free...but the graphics are a little uninspiring even though they are high res. The camera angle feels weird and everything is almost too 'photographic'. There's no feeling of being immersed in the broader surroundings. I'm also unclear how monsters respawn or don't. When I cleared an area and went back during a mission the monsters would not re-spawn but then after a mission and having been back to town I would have to trek through the same area and it would be full of monsters again. Rather than fight them yet again, because I had completed the level, I would just run through to the next stage, unhurt, but with 100 monsters following me! Then the portal scrolls let you get back to town but not back to where you set the scroll. Maybe Im doing something wrong but I will easily get bored of running through areas to get to the next stages from town, with monsters chasing, to get to the next area. I'd rather see a teleport to new areas. Anyway pretty cool for a free (at the moment) game though.

I never played much real RPG's when I was a kid but I always loved borrowing the TSR books from the library...I was more into the art...Jeff Eazley and Larry Elmore...I still remember the artists names...but sitting around rolling dice was not as much fun as going out into the forest with a stick or BMX.

Totally agree, I hope they make Dragon Age 3 more about exploring rather than running up and down the same steps of one city. It almost seemed like every quest in DA2 was finding someone importants son or daughter...who all seemed to have become evil mages. Diablo3 was definately dissapointing especially considering the time it took to make/release and it's expectations. Shame really as the graphics and sound were fairly polished at least up until end of act 1 and 2. I only ever played diablo3 on a taiwanese server...in chinese...because blizzard won't let me play another region ...or language...or honor me a international digital download version key. Farkers. Torchlight 1 and 2 are apparently made by the same people and offer better gameplay with no auction house rubbish. But more stylized simpler graphics. I have only just downloaded it on the weekend so I'm still stuck on the beach clubbing zombies. Seems like a lot of them. I'd like to get into Neverwinter but their servers don't support where I live.

    jwerta's heart break thread!

Luck is only a small part of it...practice makes perfect. It's a numbers and confidence game. If you say the right strategic things usually girls will do all the talking The guys who are good at talking to girls are usually the brave alpha men who just continually go up and talk to girls. Eventually you learn what NOT to say and what you do say is fearless or even to the point women start boring you and you start ignoring them. Magic happens when you ignore women - they are not used to that! Luck is when it doesn't matter what you say because the girl already likes you and is playing you. Here's 2 really good ways of procuring a girls number using your phone as a weapon for anyone who's interested: 1) Pull out your phone and just start typing in her name...K..A..T...then confirm with her 'your name's Katie right? Or was it Kate?' She will naturally confirm her name and then you say 'and the number 04...?' Usually she will complete the number. Dial it to confirm it's correct straight away. You don't sheepishly ask for the number - you are so confident you just start entering it as a matter of course. 2) You have met a girl or a group of nice girls and developed some rapport...grab your phone and full of fun and enthusiasm say 'hey let's take a picture!'. Usually most girls, even strangers, won't mind having their picture taken. In fact most good looking girls are fairly narcissistic. Make sure your target is next to you and take a photo. Straight away you're in a position where you can wrap your arm around the girl you like hugging her into you close for the photo. Once the photo is taken she will likely want to see it, so again use this as an opportunity to draw her close to you. Keep your arm around her waist, back or shoulders as you check the screen. If she doesn't like the way she looks take another pic and again put an arm around her as you take the photo, like you have known her for longer than you have. You can then either compliment her 'wow you look great in this shot, hair flowing everywhere like a Vidal supernova', subliminally and half jokingly seed the idea of you two together 'haha we'd probably make a good looking couple' or tease her 'geez...what kind of weird crazy smile is that!?'. Eitherway you end up with a nice photo of a hot girl and an opportunity to connect with her physically and electronically. 'Hey it's a great shot, let me send it to you'. Refer back to 1) to start entering her name and number into your phone. Yeah it's pickup tricks, but when I was single I would use whatever was at my disposal to maximise opportunity.
  22. Sort of unrelated but the title reminded me of a Chinese tonic that is great for mosquito bites. It's called 'six god'. Not sure if you can get it in australia but its the best for instantly elleviating mozzie and other insect bites. I'll see if I can track down whats in it.

    jwerta's heart break thread!

It's natural to want to be 'friends' but the reality is you never will be in that way. She's moved on and you must do the same - for yourself and also to allow her to move on. Some people can remain friends with an ex but with deep relationships more often than not its 'all or nothing'. A common mistake guys make is to get sentimental and either want to get back with an ex or cling to the hope of 'friendship'. This girl will never forget you or the good times you had but ultimately you have to move forward. One day you'll look back and realise this was a good thing that happened.

Actually good advice. I would cease all contact with your ex. Don't message her, talk to her etc unless she talks to you first. Delete her numbers, email addresses, everything. Delete her from your life. No U-turns, no getting caught up in trying to win her back, no sentamentality. Keep spiralling upwards in life. In the future position yourself so no girl ever leaves you by being the ultimate catch. It can take some time to get over a long term relationship...in fact for me it's usually half the time Ive dated them and thats when Ive broken up with them. So if you dated this girl for 2 years it may take you a year to be completely at ease again. No doubt every girl you meet for a while you will compare to your ex. Its natural but don't miss opportunities. The easiest way forward is to start talking to and dating girls again because eventually you will find better. Enjoy the ride, you're free again!
