Hi all, Sadly I have found myself struggling to pay my bills & keep a roof over my children's heads. I have a collection of large cacti & euphorbia's, I also have a large amount of cacti potting mix. Everything in the photos is for sale, this collection is near the Goldy.. I would like to sell these off in one lot, if anyone was planning on starting a well established cacti & succulent garden then these is a great start, I would also be happy to help the buyer move these plants. If I can't find someone to take the lot I will be forced to sell them individually. I have a few more cacti than are in the photos which I will give away to the buyer. I need to move these plants & am willing to take offers. If there any questions please ask here or through PM . Regards Jox

Feeling lucky . Nice give away.

Hey briliant_botanist you missed a good day mate. If people are keen to meet up again this month I would be happy to do it at mine again, same deal BBQ & a few drinks. I will be moving house soon & may not be able to host another for awhile. I would be just as happy to meet at another location if it suits others members more. I think Sundays seem to be the best days for most & reckon the 25th would be good as it gives everyone plenty of notice. Cheers Jox

@ EG, you are a very knowledgeable man , please make sure you have a very good look at those photos & let me know your opinion. I will be disappointed if you decide it is not a validus as I thought I had validus crossed of my list , ether way it is a beasty little plant, one of my favorite plants. @ mushroomman, your plants are very nice. I am always amazed at how seeds collected from the same source can produce such variety, I can see similarities between our plants but they still look a bit different. Cheers Jox

Hey EG, I would be happy to PM you some photos of my little validus for your web site , it is really starting to plump up & the spines are getting really long. After looking at Getafix's photos I am starting to wonder about mine, mind you it looks similar to mushroomman's. I will put some photos here for you to decide. I got this plants as a seedling & it came with a field number, T validus N152509a. Close up of the spines If you want photos of this EG please let me know & I will send them to you, I will also send you some photos of my albino tricho for the site Cheers Jox

Nice little plant, looking at how dark green it is I would say it would be a willy but I would disagree with EG about in being caespitosa. I have grown a far few willly var caespitosa from seed & all of them have pupped at a very young age. Cheers Jox

^^^ You guys are awesome :worship: This is the reason I spend all my spare time here Cheers Jox

That looks awesome myco , Can you explain your project a little? It looks like half a boulder with holes drilled out for the cacti, is there drainage for the cactus? I would love to set something up like that when things get settled . Cheers Jox

Hey guys, Just wanted to thank everyone for there nice comments & offers to help , this is a great little community! I have had a few really rough weeks, mentally & financially but I have tried to keep positive & on Friday it payed off , I went for a drive to help a mechanic mate fix someones bobcat, it turns out the man owns a nursery & has offered me a job as a nursery manager, if all goes well he is willing to let my family move into a 3 bedroom house that is behind the nursery. It only gets better he wants to add cacti to his nursery & wants me to use my collection for propagation !! This could possibly be the new start I have been waiting for, I am starting this Monday a can't wait!! Thank you again to everyone, I can't explain how much your support & kindness has helped me :worship: :worship: . Cheers Jox

@ Kate, I would be happy to out but the last time I sent cuttings to Tassie they were destroyed . If I can't find a buyer to pick them up in the next few weeks I will get in touch & maybe we can work something out . @Bullit, thanks for your words mate. My family are healthy & happy so I am ok but if I don't get some cash coming in I will have to move them into a tent somewhere, hence the reason for this sale. I have never sold anything on the bay or gumtree before but if no one here is interested I will have to learn. Cheers Jox

HI Frank, You can't be that bad with cacti, you got it to work once , maybe you can put it down to being clumsy . You will have to re-cut your scion & stock & put them back together, make sure you cut back past the red/orange colour as this will most likely be the start of infection/rot. Good luck mate. Cheers Jox

Thank guys, I am not sure what was going on but today everything is working fine . Thanks for the replies. Cheers Jox

Hi all, I have been trying to upload some photos here today with out any luck, the photos are under 2kb so I don't know what is going on. I even tried to upload photos that I have loaded here before & these would not work either. Is anyone else have this drama or is it me & my crappy computer? Cheers Jox

That is ok Andy, sad thing is I only suggested Comera was so you could bring you rod . If there are only a few members on the Goldly keen for a meet, I would be happy to have a meet up at mine. I have a lot of plants the sell/swap. My only concern is trust but if the numbers are low or it's just long term members I don't mind. I am still keen for the 27th & am happy to have another met the next month for Andy . If anyone is keen to head up to mount Tambourine on the 27th for a BBQ & a few drinks (BYO) & plant swapping let me know & I get it sorted. Cheers Jox

Nice plant, not a Zygo. Looks like a Dragonfruit of some kind. Cheers Jox
