    Be civil or leave

Torsten, Sorry if it looked as though I was having a go at Cam, was not meant that way at all. Ive just seen a lot of psylos comments about Cam & the so called lies & was just pointing out that I see psylo telling everyone "he was the black guy"ect. I can see he's just f##ken around but when I first joined this site it made me wonder can I really trust anyone? As my time here continues I would like to think I'm working out the jokers & the genuine hardcore gardeners. I think all of these different people are what make this site great. All I was getting at was what some members might think its funny to tell bullshit stories/jokes. But these stories/jokes might come across as deceit & lies to others. I personally don't have a problem with any members on this site(I don't think ) Cheers jox

There maybe a fine line when it comes down to telling outright lies & just dribbling crap(thinking your funny). Saying "I'm the black guy on the train", "that is me in my avitar", maybe that's just someone dribbling crap! To me there lies just like cams so called army girlfriends broken leg! Around your family & friends, be yourself they probably get the sarcasm. But on a public forum were people don't really don't know how you are, it comes across as lies/bullshit! BACK TO THE GARDEN!!!

@ SC, I call my mother that all the time(if the shoe fits) Seriously though, everyone has a different opinion & I always try to keep that in mind when I'm around people I don't know/ groups of people. I have a great relationship with my family & am very lucky I can be myself/speak my mind around them. If my mum can't babysit for me next friday then shes a C##T & I will happily tell her so!(Luv ya anyways mum ) This is a great place & have learnt quite a lot, look forward to participating a lot more. What to do with little lophs?

Thanks again, I have them set up still in the planter box with lid on & the vents slightly open, they are 60cm away from light. They have had two 10hr days under the light without any shade cloth & seem to be going fine, tomorrow I'm planning on moving the light 10cm closer. I will post again in a few more days with an update. Cheers guys jox

What to do with little lophs?

Alright, I just found a 150w metal halide light & transformer in my shed, I now have some questions about how far to place the light? Should I still keep them in there humidity box covered with the shade cloth that only lets 50% light through? Thanks for the help so far, any other good advise( cement WTF ) would be great. Cheers jox

What to do with little lophs?

Thanks EG, I thought that would be the case with grafting in winter, now I just have to work out the best way to get my seedlings through winter. MV, I didn't do take away tek,They are in a seedling tray that comes with a raised clear lid that has vents on the top & sides that open & close. The seeds were planted in searls pro seed raising mix.

    Anxiety/Panic Attacks

Focus,Focus,Focus. I have also suffered with anxiety & have come to the realization that this all stems from somewhere in my brain. The best way I can deal with this, is to keep my brain busy & to do this I FOCUS on things that are in no way important. Two examples; The way the grain runs through a timber beam or table, can i find a picture? I close my eyes & try to count the breaths I take, how many can I count before I forget were I'm up too? When I was about 20 I was sitting on a chair at home when a weird feeling came over me, about 30 seconds past & I felt my eyes roll back in my head, everything went black, I awoke on the floor to a family member telling me I had a seizure (WTF), this had never happened before. This started to happen more & more frequently, the neurosurgeon told me I had epilepsy, he couldn't tell me how or why. For many years this went on, the doctors tried various medications all with little effect, I had on average 2 seizures a month up until I was 27, I started a new medication that helped bring them down to 2 a year (what a relief). I call myself a lucky epileptic because I never had it as a child & I have always been able to feel the onset of them coming(giving me time to lay down/get away from danger, etc). Now when I feel a seizure coming on I focus, using the examples above, I have not had a seizure for 2 1/2 years now.

    The circle of life

Hi WB Adaption is a good word to use & I see this happening with certain species of fauna & the BASTARD cane toad. Species plummet when this toad rocks up & it has defiantly wiped some out for ever, but there is native fauna making a comeback & the toad is still here? The questions & possible answers run through my mind. Are Aussie animals smarter than we give em credit for? Can they communicate with each other?Do they watch there mate die & then run, slide, fly, swim away & tell there other mates?? Is is survival of the fittest, are the majority dieing but a small number able to deal with toads venom? Are they now breeding & producing offspring that can deal with the venom? I like this possibility as it would mean the toads natural predators would be on the rise. There are many possibility's. Anyway this is positive news. Cheers jox. PS. I'd love to get down to Tassie & check it out. The most awesome tiger snakes I've played with have come for Tassie & its surrounding islands. ( "Playing" with venomous snakes is not recommended )

    The circle of life

Hey WB, This is devastating to see & the saddest thing is its happening everywhere to multitude of flora & fauna all over the world. I catch & relocate reptiles in QLD & have worked closely with Australian native fauna, I have always taken meticulous notes & records. Things are defiantly changing & at a quicker pace than ever which makes me fell quite depressed, the best way for me to deal with this is to look at the so called big picture or like you say WB the circle of life or like Eddie Vedder says it's evolution baby!! There are native fauna spp. making a come back without mans help. Our lovely mother earth will not tolerate us for much longer & when shes done with us, I'm sure the circle of life will keep on going, its just sad we've f#cked our chances to watch Life will go on!! Just without you or me.

    Help with acacia cultivation needed!!

Hi Mutant, I planted some A. obtusifolia on the 8th April (Autumn) i just soaked them in boiling water for 24hrs & over that time regularly added more hot water, I then potted them in osmocote professional seed raising mix, 1 seed per pot, planted at a depth of 5mm to 10mm, I placed them in a little plastic greenhouse (1m wide 1m deep 2m high) on the top shelf, it gets very warm & humid as its in the sun all day, the green house is covered by shade cloth that only lets in 50% sun light. 85% are up & looking very good but from what I've read about this species i know theirs along way to go. I'll keep you posted as to how they go. Good luck with your acacias
