  1. Comfrey is banned because of a blanket ban on plants with pyrrolizadone alkaloids for internal use. This include useful herbs like Borage, Pulmonaria (lungwort), Comfrey, Coltsfoot and others im sure The data that these bans are based on is bogus as is so much other supposed medical evidence used to proscribe herbs [ 23. 2. Jezza i think you may be alluding to an illegal act. As you know this is a public forum and stating that you WILL commit an illegal act carries a lot more significance than reminiscing about past activities that may or may not be a fanciful conglomeration of past intentions and imagined events. I think you might want to edit your post to reflect this consideration
  3. I was reading Reading Dr rick strassmans book on DMT and he mentions something about caesarian births missing out on the DMT experience of birth and so having different experiences later in life when under the influence of DMT Using that logic i wonder if the relationship extrapolates also to difficult, complicated and prolonged births. The kinds that involve a combination of a near death and birth experience.
  4. I dare say the gnomes may find they have 4L of 70% not 38% as suggested if the procedure is that same one i am aware of. Basically when diluted 10 bottle of vodka in 2 weeks (ferment, distil, double distill, maybe triple distill)
  5. I remember that talk And the photo. The plant was quite straggly but tall. Has anyone been back to see it since then?

  7. I was the kind of kid you could take anywhere. My parents did a small indoor plant business and used to go to some pretty groovy parties where i think i must have gotten stoned by accident from all the smoke. And we used to go for long walks in Pine forests in Autumn with friends......never did get that until much much later <___base_url___>/uploads/emoticons/default_smile.png Not so much my own experience but it kind of is... I met some really cool people as a kid and it shaped my view on people on drugs...

    Funky Fungus

Well the product research is getting close to a releasable range so now we just have to stock up and finish those web pages. theres a fair bit of work in the collation and in finding good suppliers And im also waiting on some stock that is taking an inordinately long time to arrive from O/S The amount of info thats going in is HUGE, well the amount that will be up in the end is - i have to narrow it down in the begginning to just cover the initial products. Ive got some cool edibles to release - this autumn has been joy for collecting wild species - of course i have to domesticate these to a degree first. My fav would be the almond agaricus - its either A subrufescens or a close relative in the complex - much bioassayed by me :D Im doing some research on local mulch types in conjunction with the local supplier to see what supports growth by whichever species So far i can suggest finding a local source for Sugar cane mulch which quite a few species like shimeji, king stropharia and oysters definitely love a few q's what kinds of mulch do you use in your garden? so far ive got a test list of Cane mulch Pine bark Eucalyptus woodchip Tea tree mulch Camphor chips also if anyone would like to contribute names and addresses in each major city of good places to buy larger articles like Pressure cookers i think this would be immenesely useful I know the Perth place but i need ones for Sydney, ACT, Melbourne, Adelaide, briz and darwin ohe yeah you too hobart more soon... 15. i bought some seed a while back and it was good quality. Im about to start on some myrtillocactus ive got left over I dont know what hes up to now though but that sure is a nice selection of loph cultivars - and as we can import well worth chasing up also i hear some imports of trichocereus have been siezed lately on the grounds that trich contain a prohibited substance. Interesting and worrying developments...
  16. Unis are great as depositories of information - without them we wouldnt have access to the journals and papers. theyre also great for researchers But yes for all but hons. and higher students they suck - definitely not enough interaction in research or emphasis on experiments - your own i mean not labs with 40 + students and labs that you do twice in separate subjects The best module i ever did had less than 20 students in total and had 2 lecturers who are world class researchers in their field - fungi :D - one of the good guys (mycorrhizae) and the other the bad guys (Necrotrophic pathogens). If it wasnt for that course my entire degree would have been a waste of time in my opinion. Maybe that and statistics however much i hated it not that im advocating ignoring your cousre but do try and seek out electives in other areas of interests especially applied ones, they can lead to work in research projects or just 'understandings' where you get to use uni hardware and labspace and make good use of the library - especially journals like phytochemistry and things like that...
