    viridis

heres a pic of my two viridis plants, they are two and a half years old, im about to re-pot them . should i use bigger pots again? amazingly last winter they went through the mother of all hail storms (ripped my roof off and knocked down two large trees in front yard) and nearly all foilage was stripped off or severly damaged but they survived and came back ok??? it seems to me this plant is more a problem child when its at seedling stage.

    viridis

well later on and my viridis is much larger and im thinking there is no way i can not put her in the ground now, she is not going as good as she should be. Im just waiting until spring to replant. my hassle is ive got clay here that is hard as concrete. so do you think if i got out the mattock spent a few hours of back breaking labour making a big fucking hole, could i then fill up said hole with good soil?????? what could i possibly use to stop the goddamn trees beside them sniffing out beautiful wet soil and invading? will it survive in the ground?? ive looked at bigger pots but its just getting ridiculous its so hard to transplant and she hates it for sure. perhaps i could trim her and bonsai the roots??? sorry for the pics they were taken with my phone amazingly the little guy got snapped in half last transplant cause i tripped arse over when i holding it, i just popped the roots in and its come back nicely

Is it possible to cut the roots way back without causing harm to the Plant?? If so how do i go about it IE how much do i take off and where??/

i put a layer of river rocks on the bottom of the pots to help with drainage. they love water but the dont like being soggy. every month i make a mix of water with a small amount of seasol seaweed stuff and a small amount of power fertilizer. bugs are a prob from time to time so i spray with pyrethum spray at nite and in the morning give a good drenching spray with water to get it off. ive recently had a spider take up residence and im reluctant to get rid of him as he seems to be helping with bugs. once they get established things get easier.

maybe in the future , i wanna make myself a big greenhouse and try my hand at growwing some other stuff like a few cacti and some natives. this is my first time growing anything so its been fun so far from fretting over barely growing seedlings to getting big then nearly losing them. gardening is great especially when you know the plants are a little different

    help

hi i bought some viridis seedlings from shaman australis and after dealing with a fugal gnat infestion and the transplant period they are finally starting to come good but each set of new leaves that come through go brown on the tips and start to die, what is this and what am i doing wrong? the plants are in a bunnings greenhouse in the shade and i water every three to four days adding some seaweed stuff every three weeks and some power feed every four. i live at the gold coast so temp is not that cold. i also mist once a day. to deal with the gnats i put yellow sticky traps in which caught heaps i also used pyretheam and natrosoap on the adult flys. i also used diatomacious earth without much succes as it turns to mud pretty much straight away. ive now tried using womens stockings and covering thr whole pot with the plant poking through and using natrosoap to kill any bugs i see under the stocking on top of the soil, this has worked a treat as in a week the gnats are all but gone.

Hi I have just sort of stumbled upon this ethnobotany stuff as i was interested about trying ayahuasca. I suffer from depression and PTSD and have tried all the anti-depressant medication , finaly ending up on Parnate(maoi) which has worked the best for me. I was actually quite shocked to find out that the caapi plant is also an maoi and that maois seem to play a major role in some ethno experiences. so I have a few questions I hope someone may be able to answer for me, im sorry if these topics have been extensively covered before. As im also aware of legal iplications in this country, all my Questions are hypothetical only! Q1, does the caapi vine produce hallucinations/visons on its own? Q2, i have been on Parnate for ages and have never had any sort of trippy feeling, does pharm maoi work the same way as that in the caapi plant? Q3, Is it safe to use a ayahuasca brew if already on pharm maoi, bearing in mind that i am already aware of maoi diet? Q4, I see that a DMT is usually added to maoi, is that what produces the visions/hallucinations, if so what is the best to use? Q5, Can caapi vine be used as a natural alternative to pharm maois in treating depression? Q6, What plants are safe to use to have a visionary experience while on maois? Q7, What sort of Paranoia levels are induced while using entheogens? I have used cannabis, acid and mushrooms in the past and found that cannabis makes me really really paranoid. I thank anybody who can help me in advance , have a good day

true i remember on lsd getting totally stuck and freaked out on one particular negative thing and finding it hard and sometimes impossible to move past it . countless hours looking for somewhere safe but never finding it. but i often found these (bad trips ) only occured when i wasnt out and about exploring but rather just sitting at a house or similar that wasnt home?! so from this would it be safe to assume that the seeting and mood would play a significant role in what direction an experiance on DMT might take?

ive read all the reports on erowid, you are so right!! the more i think about it i see that perhaps that fear is also related to the fear and shame of seeing and accepting those things about yourself that are not very nice and being humble enough to take it onboard and bring about the neccesary changes in your life. moving forward never back... many thanks i would love to give it a try but i doubt i would be able to find someone exprienced to take me throgh it as i doubt it would be a good idea to mess around by myself blindly

thanks to all who posted. its very interesting stuff. im on an extemely high dose of parnate as i have a high tolerance level as i am a recovering addict (1yr 6 months in rehab) ive always been interested in aya as i heard of using it to meet your spirit guide and get a deep spiritual perspective of your life. something one could definitly use at this time in ones life. but most of the experiance reports ive read seem more akin to when acid goes pear shaped when youve taken just a few too many little cardboard monsters and the unholy fear takes hold. been a long time since i played with psycho drugs anyway. i would also like to say all this has been just for curiosity sake and i have no intentions of doing any illegal activities. ive been clean and sober for 2 and a half years now and even spent a new years eve in amsterdam without using so ive no desire to fuck that up. peace to all

ok so if i was to stop my parnate for a couple of weeks then take correct dosage of b.caapi and viridis i may experience trip/visions/hallucinations or alternatively stay on parnate and just take viridis or similar? using small dosages until desired effect is required. also is it legal to just grow these plants as ornamental plants?
