Hi Klip, I harvested the stamens off some of my trumpets yesterday. They are drying out at the moment, its quite damp air here this weekend. There doesnt appear to be a great deal of pollen on them, I am thinking that I may need to cut the flowers up a little earlier to catch the pollen before it falls off the stamen. I have never collected pollen from a brug before, it was actually the first time I bothered to disect a flower. They have quite an interesting arrangement, very protective. If you have any special techneque, let me know. peace cornilius maximus

Holy shit guys/gals. Im impressed. Ive only discovered the excitment of growing cactus from seed this year, very, very exciting I must say. I have seedlings that I put in mid March and they havent even got to the top of the take-away container. However I have put some in about 3 months ago and they are bigger than the older ones. I did make the second media sandier. I also have not fertilized them at all. Is it necessary in order to achieve this type of growth? peace cornilius maximus

I can send you some 'double white' pollen, I got some just about to flower. I'd be well delighted with some seeds when it all goes good.

Hi All, I have to prepare a poster for a uni assignment that is going to be on mycoremediation. I am currently using Paul Stamets model from the TED talk that he recently done. I have a copy of his book Mycellium Running that I am currently using as a reference, which I might add is a fantastic book. I was wondering if there were anyone here who may be able to provide me with names of other people who are currently researching or working in this field. peace cornillius maximus

Hello, I wish to explore the world of mycology and thought that I would start with the basics. I am seeking an Agaricus bisporus print to try for my first grow attempt, if someone has some for sale? Or can show me where to find such a thing. I was also wondering if it were possible to take a spore print from store bought shrooms? Although I would then be unsure what kind of chemicals have been used in the cultivation process. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. peace cornillius maximus

Hello people, Just wanting to introduce myself and say hello. I may have met some of you in conversation at the EGA just past. What a gathering that was . Cant wait for the next one. I am relatively new to the ethno community, though I am very stoked to now be a part of it. I hope that with time I can eventually contribute to the vast bank of knowledge contained within this community. peace cornilius maximus
