King oyster tissue sample, (clone) from local vege shop.

I found a king oyster mushie for dinner the other night, so I decided while I'm trying to culture my plants I'll try a mushroom or two. I left it in the fridge for a couple days and it must've been a bit old before buying it on special. It had a little slimy feel to it so I hope it's still viable. I placed it in my glove box with the items needed and took a sample, from both the base, and the top. After cutting into the shroom to find a clean sample I took three or four pieces from the centre and into the Petri with agar nutrients. I used agar, dextrose, malt extract & distiller water in the dish. After two days the growth is evident but not really huge. There were signs of decay on the mushroom which given their slimy texture was hard to keep away from the sample. I hope the decay doesn't over run the mycelium, at this stage it is very likely.
