My mate has something similar with a much darker purple. Lochroma cyaneum was the best I could come up with too.

yeah its a lochroma cyaneum there is a common name for this variety as well

nice flowers

hey does anyone know of iochroma fuchsiodes being cultivated in australia?

edit: oh wait, i confused it with latua pubiflora. but the question stands.

hey check this out: http://www.botanicalspirit.com/iochroma-fuchsioids-foliage-organic says "iochromas contain over 150 alkaloids"

but in his encyclopedia, Ratsch says

.."no alkaloids have been detected...although withanolides have been found."

i am perplexed
