Swearing is an integral part of Australian life. I was reading one of those travel info websites, and the section about travelling to Australia said that Australians swear a lot in normal speech, so don't think that the person is angry or trying to offensive if they are swearing a lot while they're talking to you. I thought that was kind of cool.
