this is a plant i remeber from back home in europa, we called it koenigskerze (verbascum densiflorum),

it has medicinal values, i think it's good for your bronchials...

Commonly known as Mullein out here (though in other places that name seems to refer to Verbascum thapsus). I think that the infused oil (made with flowers) can be used for ear problems.

It's amazing what you find in your backyard when you're always putting out seed, I've found a few that look like things I would've planted

but can't for the life of me remember what they are. Nice one
