MeanGreen Posted May 12, 2018 (edited) Yeah they're somewhat related I think, although they're probably not the closest cousins. They really do look like small lophs with long nails like spines. Lophophora jourdaniana is thought to be an interspecific hybrid with Turbinicarpus. One thing worth noting about this plant is its absolutely hilarious current scientific name: Turbinicarpus schmiedickeanus (pronounced [shuv' my dick in ya anus]) Edited May 12, 2018 by MeanGreen 3 Share this comment Link to comment
