MM wouldn't just get a fields original clone and rename it as his own creation? I don't imagine anyway, haha. Looks maybe a bit lighter and a bit bluer than the Rosei1's that I am familiar with. Impressive looking peru none the less. You've got some cracker trichos HD - good on you mate. 1 Quote Link to comment

Halcyon Daze Posted March 15, 2018 (edited) The story is that the guy who gave it to Micromegas many moons ago said it was Roseii1 and he was a highly regarded and trustworthy source so Micro had no immediate reason to doubt what he had been told. Unless the guy was accidentally mistaken, or had been given wrong info I guess. Micro's plant was a big fat upright torch that took a fall in strong wind, a damn fine clone whatever it is. I had wondered because the Roseii1 I'd seen had all been more branched etc rather than torch-like, but that's not exactly proof of anything. Thanks for the suggestion smithy, I'll have to look into that one. EDIT: Here's Micro's 2 pics that got me all fired up to begin with. (I'm hoping he doesn't mind me re-posting his pics). Who wouldn't want a piece of THIS action, and I'm very fortunate to even have a piece. Obviously I plan to spread it far and wide so stay tuned for future releases. Drildo Posted March 15, 2018 Phuck thats a good looking Peruvianus, and it does look a little different to Rosei1, it looks more hmm, SIGNIFICANT. Stunningly lovely blue hues, hardon material mate. I think I will have to source 2 to 4 tip cuts in the future, but fear that might be difficult for some years (rarity etc). Lucky duck, enjoy your stunning plants mate. Quote Link to comment

Drildo Posted March 16, 2018 ^ Christ... I wonder how many different clones are actually the same thing now.... Quote Link to comment
Micromegas Posted March 16, 2018 Shit man you pumped out some sweet growth from that thing (although I can't remember when I sent it, or did spooge send it haha). Grows fast generally but well done. Comes from a garden north of adelaide, 45yrs old, with plants labelled with pressed tin labels as old as the garden itself. In the garden labelled with said pressed tin labels are two different plants 'Rosei var 1' and 'Trichocereus peruivianus (Rosei)'. So I didn't call them anything and farked if I know what Rosei is but this guy saw fit to label them that decades ago. I found this garden 2009 and Rosei was only becoming popular then. His PC pach was labelled: 'T. macrogonus, Argentine' and he said it was 'rare'. 1 Quote Link to comment

I've heard that the Rosei's (1 and 2) come from Fields Farm. Old imports from long before any change of laws. Not sure how accurate this statement is though. Tis a lovely looking peruvianus regardless mate. Got any in-ground mature specimens you'd like to share pics of? I'd love to see an old specimen. Quote Link to comment
