how could i forget to comment on what an absolutely gorgeous looking cactus *swewn*

Is this one really that fat or are we just dealing with tiny hands? Either way, that specimen looks sweet with that dark green and minimalistic look to its spines.

I bet it loves fertilizer and sun

I think the angle is a bit misleading, my fingers could definitely show on the other side.

 

I measured it and it's about 8.5cm across

Given the angle and the pose you could have used two Mammillarias under the base of it ;)

Haha completely unintentional... or was it? 

I'll think about the mams (or a couple hairy lophs) next time I snap one of those
