Oi bro, the gastropods hate copper. Something about their mucus & copper in general, two dissimilar elements/metals in an aqueous solution. It shocks the slugs, bare copper gives them a nice charge.

Get these types: Copper rings/Copper tape

Or this style is like a stretchable band, mini fence lol:

I hope it works, last year I had tried tying some copper wire around my pots but it didn't deter them, maybe it was bad quality copper or maybe they were able to just avoid touching the wire, hopefully these large bands will do the trick.

i think they can make a quick skip across something thin  (copper strands from cable)
but something wide like the copper tape they have to lay right out on the get across, they hate it and don't even bother, lol.
