Medicine men and psychedelic therapy.

I've been interested in this for sometime but only recently reached a place where I feel this would be beneficial for me.
I'm interested mainly in ayahuasca and ibogaine therapy and would like to take part in this with an experienced shaman/medicine man. In a place where this could be legally done of course.
Given the nature of false teachers I wanted to enquire here as to how others have gone about this, recommendations, experiences. I'd love to hear about what others have learned.

What are you looking to get out of aya and ibogaine?
They are extremely powerful and there may be other sacraments that achieve what you are looking for.

The 3rd one said come on over, we have had success in curing that in the past and we can help you too.
This was the Ayahuasca Foundation, ran by an American, Carlos Tanner, who had went to Peru and drank Aya, and was told to create this foundation!
All I can say is It was the best 2 weeks of my life, and I am no longer Diabetic, the cure was the Gall Bladder of a jungle rat, called a Mahas!
Fantastic Experience, and would recommend the Ayahuasca Foundation to anyone!

I can expand though on my intentions.
I do regardless also spend a lot of time on a range of spiritual practices.
Indeed to continue my journey healing is a must, but in a way I feel somewhat capable myself. My intentions for ayahuasca would be to stimulate a journey where I could experience and work with my already present spiritual connection, thus assisting in the healing of my human self.
However, the point I am at now I feel guidance and support is necessary and reaching out to those more experienced than me feels beneficial.
I'm not quite sure what I need, but if I was to journey on ayahuasca I feel certain I would need someone experienced in holding the space as I am not able and not experienced in doing that myself.
On the other hand if I found the correct healing for my issues, in particular psychosis and stabilising my core energy/boundaries, I may not need the help of an entheogen to continue working on this myself.
I think spending thousands to receive healing is silly and speaks volumes of the integrity of such a practitioner. That's just my opinion though as I have come across a genuine medicine men and despite teaching me things integral to my journey he was not willing to work with me further.
