Will try and check in as often as I can but life in the bush and on the road can make that sporadic..

This is Lion Rock at Piha Beach New Zealand.  It has its own little microclimate with native plants such as Kawa kawa growing in the understory.  You can still climb right up to the top despite the upper section of the path being removed due to erosion and rock falls.  We were there today.  The weather was perfect.  My good lady also photographed me climbing up to the top in some more photo's.

Nice thread, there are some awesome photos here! I'll contribute...

13ym5q8.jpg

Booroomba Rocks, Namadgi National Park, ACT. It's a popular spot for rock-climbers.

While you can't make it out in the photo, you can see most all of Canberra in the far distance in the top left. Would be an awesome sight at night with a clear view.

If i had to pick a "winner" an impossible task i feel. I'd pick Paradox for the wonderful multi-focal macro shots =) Just my personal chosen style of preference. (edit) thanks everyone =)

Definitely Paradox, that echidna pic is cool.

I hope I don't end up winning this with that truncated and blurry bird pic, I wouldn't know what to do with the seeds anyway.

More votes for Paradox!

Hey that's really nice of you guys to say, glad you like, but those awesome seeds would most probably be wasted on me too.. I wouldn't be able to propagate any cacti for quite a while I don't think.. so I vote someone else! :)
