will you visit chachapoyas?

I hope you take a lot of pics from the Mercado modelo, I am specialy interested in decotions made from the coral tree, which are very common there. maybe the stall holders will share some info regarding the manufacturing...

hasta mas tarde, gringito. :)

I wont, I have cycled over a 1000kms in the mountains and I am tyred, ill stay a few days here in Huaraz just relaxing.I do have the task to find some plants around here to take samples. The town is full with them , in peoples gardens. Have to find them in the wild yet, I know the road to Caraz and further north is full with them...

Hey Mate,

Thanks so much for sharing info about your journey. Im working out my Peru itinery at the moment. Im not going to bring any plant material back with me but certainly want to make sure i get a good squiz at plenty of cactii, the variety, the habitats, and ethnobotany if possible.

Sounds like you have had a cool journey.

Very nice plant for sure. No seed pods laying around anywhere?

I hope you got a chance to see the art and took a few pictures to share.

They seriously need to move this particular work into the museum section.

I do believe I have sampled a slice from the plant in that first photo :-) Its the one up on the hill overlooking the site, that's 14 hours I'm not ever likely to forget.

I met a dragon spirit, it was incredible.

Yes. It's about 25 metres from the wall, a bit up hill by the road.
