mutant Posted December 1, 2013 (edited) upside>> a bright place/ sun intake too played a part in this extreme widening of the crown. ***** Hey this is a Stenocereus thurberii . Could this NOT BE a variegated plant? To be honest, at first I thought It got burnt somehow, but it seems the pattern is still going many months later, and some of the marks are really complex. Besides, if it was burnt, it would leave some scars at least. What do you think? If you really do think its a true variegata, then it shouldn't stay to get wet all winter, right? variegata plants are supposed to be more sensitive in that part and they might just rot from the skin, is that right? GoOnThen Posted December 2, 2013 Is that fred a crest? That's awesome. I've never seen a crested mamilaria fred. There is a couple of different forms. Interbeing's Fred ( nice healthy Fred ) seems to be one that has been propagated a fair bit over here. The ones that are more lumpy looking is a bit harder to find. Different Fred forms http://www.cactus-art.biz/schede/MAMMILLARIA/Mammillaria_bocasana/Mammillaria_bocasana_fred/Mammillaria_bocasana_fred.htm Cheers Got
hostilis Posted December 2, 2013 The ones I see here all the time are more rounded and chunky. I've never seen one like that. I'd love to get my hands on both forms.

Auxin Posted December 3, 2013 Enjoy my 25 cm penis, I do TBM/Pereskiopsis grafts respond well to occasional dosing with triple strength grow ferts.
hostilis Posted December 3, 2013 Is that a long or short form?
zelly Posted December 4, 2013 Enjoy my 25 cm penis, I do well at least you're measuring your penis now in centimeters, instead of Angstroms.
Auxin Posted December 4, 2013 Thats the short clumpy form, it tried to foreskin out several times but the triple strength grow ferts made it push out a new cluster of areoles and resume growing rather than pup. I'm hoping that trick is replicable, it'll make for some great beginnings on degrafted plants.
mystical oyster Posted December 4, 2013 My first grow from seed so don't know much but have this little fluorescent guy poking through with the rest of my L. Williamsii, is this strange or normal? Thanks

mushroomman Posted December 7, 2013 Validus x bridgesii variegated from zelly's seeds, out of 50 seedlings of this cross all but two were highly variegated and only a few have survived this one was pretty much all white when grafted then went green and is now getting yellower every day
