looks like the old "if you're not doing anything wrong you have nothing to worry about" just went right out the window. as long as they don't murder or rape anyone, everything's sweet

q, the problem is we have never had the luxury of an intelligent bank of pollies that entrench themselves with any real conviction-they are far and few between. forward thinking, open minded , honest politician in Australia is an anathema to our genesis as a country that is meant to be progressive. god forbid, we as a population form our own cognoscenti mind freedoms. terrorism has many faces and this fuckedup firm of faceless leaders that abounds will never be stopped with water pistol rhetoric . i liked paul k 'cause i think he stood for something, fuck, standing for something is worth more than kneeling for nothing

what terrorism? apart from the army base plan theres been nothing to warrant this sort of extension of asio's powers. who in the community is buying his fake terrorism bullshit? we can see where the "terms of reference" for debate is in the countries so called leaders. labelling concepts such as human rights, gay mariage and sensible drug policy as "extreme" and "loony" enables them to skew everything far to the right. the way the electoral system in australia ensures either one of the two right wing parties gets elected (at least wields the power). so there's a choice between far right and just centre-right. these choices leaves us plebs with such gems as allowing asio to commit crimes without any sort of liability. w82go australia.

so what is the immediate plan of action for a pleb then?
you raise a good point there man. by definition, is a pleb aware of its surroundings? can a pleb raise a community awareness for the benefit of the community?
Or, is a pleb by definition, a commoner that sleepwalks, blissfully, unaware of it's surroundings.
